it is a Xtrons dvd sat nav unit brought from ebay ,thanks to tigerfish it is sorted now .needed to put the blue wire to the original harness of the car so the electric aerial worked

i will try that tomorrow .see what happens ...

just tapping into the wiring ,thing is i had another aftermarket unit in there before .and that was ok .and i dont suspect this new one i have got .i have found that if you switch the ignition off for about 5 mins it keeps memory .if its off for about 20 mins it loses it .......strange

still not got the head unit to keep memory .changed yellow and red wires around today but still no difference .has anybody got any ideas ?

yes all the correct wires ( red and yellow battery wires ) all connected .thats what i cant understand...

installed double din head unit in my lexus .but it is losing memory when i switch of ignition .which wires are wrong way round guys ? got to remove this today to do the aerial wire so i can do this also ....

i have a 2000 lexus gs300 .i have just installed an aftermarket double din dvd unit .my problem is that i cant figure out how to connect the blue wire (antenna wire ) from the head unit to the electric aerial .has anybody got any ideas how and where the blue wire connects to, to work the aerial ??

yes a humming .thought it was bearing .but then there is drivesahft and diff .how do i check for bearing movement .is it grab the wheel top and bottem and check for play .

hello .i have a lexus gs300 (2000) model.i have a whining from the rear of the car .just one side .could it be wheel bearing or driveshaft ?? or something else .does not do it all the time .about 30 to 40 mph ......any ideas ?

hello ,my 2000 lexus gs300 wont start at all ,did some audio work to it ,and managed to drain the battery down,now it wont start ,everything works lights,stereo,central locking ,etc etc battery now fully charged .one problem i noticed with it is that the security light on the right of the dashboard stays on all the time even when you try to start it .spoken online to a technical guy and he said try manualy unlocking it to reset it ( i did that and the alarm went off ) also checked fuses all OK ...everything is working as it should do ,it just wont fire up and run ,the technical guy said to get it tested to get codes to see whats wrong ,how do i do that ???any help would be gratefully appriciated
