  1. thank you very much, that sounds like it might be the root of the problem!! i'm going to try it now all my neighbours are awake!!! i'll let you know how i get on. thanks for your advice, no joy though i'm afraid, the alarm still wails. a BMW specialist who lives down our road says it sounds like there is still water (or dampness) in the wiring. i think its going to have to go to lexus in guildford. cheers anyway!!! thank you very much, that sounds like it might be the root of the problem!! i'm going to try it now all my neighbours are awake!!! i'll let you know how i get on. thanks for your advice, no joy though i'm afraid, the alarm still wails. a BMW specialist who lives down our road says it sounds like there is still water (or dampness) in the wiring. i think its going to have to go to lexus in guildford. cheers anyway!!! THANK YOU to everyone who offered advice on my problem, i would just like to add that LEXUS GUILDFORD have done a truely fantastic job and sorted it perfectly!!! the new alarm box, labour, all electrics and VAT didn't even come to £150. to say i'm over the moon is an understatement!!!! the car was also given a complimentary valet before i picked it up!! extremely nice staff too!!

  5. hi, i've got a lexus ls400. 6 weeks ago we had a flood down our road and my car got a bit swamped. i disconnected the battery and put heaters in it to dry it out, then left a dehumidifier in it for a week to take any moisture out. the car itself drives fine now, i have no problem other than the alarm. as soon as i connect the battery it starts beeping and won't stop. can anyone help me or offer any advice please? thank you.
