  1. Hi I had a Y-reg IS200 SE from new and had two keys, plus a valet key (only opened doors and ignition). Am about to buy an X-reg IS200 Sport for the other half, but the current owner maintains they only ever had 2 keys for it - and no valet key. Is this possible? Am always worried with the prospect of not getting all the keys, in case it gets nicked or something silly. Is it only later cars that come with 3 keys, or should I be suspect on this? Thanks Jeff
  2. I have the IS200SE and it has just started making the same noise (35,000 miles), only on cornering with the brakes depressed. Doesnt do it at all without the brakes. Was considering booking it in, but as its only 5k till the next service (40,000) I'll wait, as from the above it doesnt sound too serious. Had images of either the wheels falling off or the brakes failing!!!
  3. Hello I've had my Lexus IS200 SE Auto for about 18 months now. Is a company car, but I'm seriously considering buying it at the end of the lease, and running it privately (Gordon Brown has made it impossible to support an IS under the new tax schemes!). One thing that has concerned me though is the rate I go through tyres. They were replaced at 20,000 mile service and described as "very worn". I've since done 13,000 miles and looking at them they are near the warning mark again. They are the Goodyear Eagle type. I'm not a boy racer, most of the journeys are motorway, at averagely high speeds (but not spinning away from lights). Is 15,000 mile replacement to be expected or is there something wrong here? On another topic, I'm considering SAT NAV. Can this be retro fitted by Lexus and has anyone had any experience? Many thanks J - Silver IS200SE
