  1. Keep Music Alive The government has introduced new legislation which forces all live entertainment venues to require a licence, imposing all sorts of restrictions on the music industry which could eventually kill it off altogether. The recently introduced changes in licensing law have produced an environment where music and dance, activities which should be valued and promoted in a civilised society, are instead damaged by inappropriate regulation. We call on the Prime Minister to recognise this situation and take steps to correct it. See my website for more information. Click here to sign the e-petition now. Please take a few minutes to consider this issue - it may affect you more than you first realise. Also please forward this on to anyone you can think of. Not wanting to state the obvious, the more signatures we can get on this petition, the greater its chances of success. Thanks for your time, Marc.
  2. Good tip... zactly what I was after with this thread. Thanks.
  3. Smoke me a kipper, Fidgits... I'm not averse to spending money to advertise my car and I've every intention of putting it in Autotrader. However, when selling my previous car I got an all-singing, all-dancing advert in the Autotrader online and two editions of the regional mags, only to have someone who saw it on the Owner's club forum actually buy it. So based on that, I favour my odds on the forum. Except that one was free membership, no holds barred. However, before you start jumping to conclusions and thinking that I'm not willing to pay for anything, please take a moment to consider what I'm actually saying... what I'm paying for is a membership that I won't actually need, once I've sold the car.
  4. Unfortunately nothing. I've only just bought the car (just over a month ago) and now the fiancée's parents have decided to move to Australia. So we're moving out sooner than expected! Need the dough...
  5. I want to sell my car, and the best place to mention it would be on an owner's club forum. However, I need to become a Gold Member and pay £25 for a year's membership. But if I'm selling my car, why would I want to remain a member for a whole year if I no longer have the car? Isn't this a little topsy turvey?
  6. Ahh, cool - well that's the timer sorted. Plus I've just been speaking to my mate who's an auto-electrician and he said he has the necessary relays so I just need to get the timer. He also has a universal window-rollup unit which he can install for the windows & sunroof, assuming he can use the same alarm pickup to trigger this?
  7. Well, I'm looking at this one but I'm not sure if it's suitable - can you tell from those details if it'll do the trick? Also, did you get your relay from Maplin too?
  8. Have read through the guide and now need help getting the parts. I'm gonna go for the second option of a "commercially available triggered timer" as I'm no electrician. What I need is advice from people who've done this mod on where to obtain the parts. Once I've got the bits, I'm happy to have a go at doing this.
  9. Aha, superb! All I could find was his guide to the windows - that's grand - just what I was after! Thanks!!
  10. Essentially what I'm trying to achieve is auto-closure of sunroof & windows when the car is locked, and wing-mirrors to pop in when locked and out when unlocked. My auto-electrician suggests that the auto-closure shouldn't be a problem if using a normal window-close module that he's fitted many times to other cars, but the real trick will be getting the wing mirrors to behave how I want them to. What he's asked me to find out is if anyone else has done this and found the two ouputs needed from the alarm to send the pulse to the wing-mirror circuit, to save us the work involved in finding them ourselves. Can anyone point us in the right direction with regards to the alarm pickups we need to achieve this? Thanks in advance!
  11. Why not just get this polyurethane replica for a fraction of the cost (£110)?
  12. Ok mate - sorry for replying in two places! I'll PM you the vehicle details and we'll go from there. Thanks very much everyone!!
  13. That's great mate, thanks. I think I'll be saving the pennies before going for skirts and lips, however I'm looking into getting the spoiler straight away which doesn't seem to be mentioned - is that also available as a seperate part? Not the silver one, the one on your car:
  14. Cool thanks for all your answers guys. I've PM'd Chris, but in the meantime what do you think the spoiler would be? TRD also?
  15. Hello people - I'm new to the world of Lexus and haven't actually taken delivery of my IS200 yet. However, while shopping for my car I went to have a look around this bad boy which as you can see is listed as having an "Aero Bodykit and Spoiler". On arriving to see this car I was really taken with how the kit enhanced the lines of the car and gave it a totally different stance, but the car itself was a little above my price range and had a manual gearbox (not what I was after). So (a long winded-approach I know, but I like background stories), I'm soon to be the proud owner of a Black IS200 SE Auto - a great car, but I can't get that kit out of my head. Is it available as an aftermarket part or set of parts, and if so where might I find it for sale?
