  1. thanks Jamboo. My car has been washed so far twice and both by myself, but as polish I used turtlewax PTFE (with teflon) When I run out, maybe I'll try that miracle but I don't have the electric polisher. Is it really hard to polish just with hands?
  2. thanks, that's great. Can't wait till then :)
  3. do you have sport ratio in the transmision or the classic? I have the classic and it looks like that at 70mph I would have less than 1700rpm... I gear to 6th only when driving over 90mph - when I have 2000rpm. When I have less rpm, it makes very deep sound. I have only 2200kms on the clock (1370miles) so maybe that is the reason.
  4. I was also surprised, because the dealer told me that the change is not necessary. However check out the CD you got with the manual. It is written in there.
  5. I have the IS220d for a month and I have occasional rattle from the left side (in the UK right side) where are the buttons for power heating, wiper heating etc. This rattle isn't usualy caused by the road surface, but by the vibrations. When I gently push it, it stops.. Bad thing is, that sometimes it is OK for 50kms, sometimes it makes instatnly so it's hard to show it to the dealer. I will see. BTW how can I know, when exactly was the car made? On the carpet label is 06/06 but I don't know if it's the date :) One more question - I always thought, that IS is made in Japan, but on the documents everywhere is Belgium. So do you know, where is it made? thanks
  6. yes. and it has to be replaced after 100.000miles or 6 years, I think.
  7. According to new pricelist from Lexus Slovakia, with the luxury packet (I don't know how you call it in the UK, but there are leather seats, xenon lights, parking sensors etc) you get also the sport ratio (which was before only with sport packet, or luxury packet with option 18" rims) I have the "classic" ratio and I find it OK. I drove automatics for last couple of years so it's OK for me to cruise in the city on third and I don't need to battle with the gearstick too often :) I have to mention though that I don't like the big step between 2nd and 3rd.
