  1. Sorted vti, you are very right. It's too cold in Scotland and not too many people thinking about tint windows.
  2. Hi Mark, I'm also an Aristo MKII owner in HKG. Frankly speaking it is not equal to old man when you are driving this model in HKG, especially a lot of people here have mod them. When you are buying it here, it is better to be careful on choosing a right dealer, as some of them are not well maintained. For a car with 5+ years old (which most commonly available in the second hard market), you have to think about the maintainence. Again for the gas price in HKG, I've to pay about HKD2.30/Km, and GTR or EVO costs more than this figures (as you are not able to control your right leg when you ride on it, it at least apply for me).
  3. check the mount of of the vvti gear, which can be see easily when you change the timing belt.
  4. The engine mount was changed 1/2 years ago. It's now only 12000KM after the change. Therefore shouldn't related the the engine mount.
  5. Thanks skeet and goodoldgrandad i've checked it is nothing related to the inner skin i've also changed the upper and lower balljoints (actually i've changed the shocks, together with the brushes of anti-roll bar, all the arms in the front). it doesn't help. I've schedule to change also the brake disc and see if the situation can be improved (but actually I don't think the sound is coming from the disc).
  6. Phil, you are very right. And it's better to check brake pad and disc before making any change.
  7. i tried the TRD iridium 7K previously but too cold for my Aristo Mk2. I'm now using platinum and think it is better, in terms of gas consumption, with similar performance.
  8. hi i'm reader from Hong Kong. I tinted my GS and only cost GBP100 here. We are lucky.
  9. That's cool, but just a bit too costly.
  10. Will check this week and hope the problem can be solved.
  11. I also have same problem, and I've changed the bushes of the anti-roll bar, it become better for 3 weeks, then the sound comes out again. It's annoying. I'm very happy with my car, except the sound. This is the only reason now I'm thinking and want to change to a new car.
  12. The throttle sensor (ETCS) needs to clear on regular basis. As it is one of the electronic parts always having problem (at leasat with Aristo). --- Joe
  13. Indeed, I've changed my brake pad from AP Lockheed to Toyota factory stock. The sound comes out even when I'm not stepping on the brake. Do any one have an idea about what had happened?
