  1. Using traxdata media, I've found that audio disks burnt @ <=8 speed are ok. When written faster than 8x one has problems. Have since found this to be true for most cdr's used in 'domestic' readers, ie != cd / cdr's in PC's.
  2. Faith restored - replacement tyres turned up today. Would highly reccomend mytyres.net :)
  3. Not a happy bunny. Order tyres, not in when 1st attempt made to deliver. Carrier (Parcel Line) has now 'lost' the tyres. Mytyres.net have been great through this, are now shipping another set & sorting out Parcel Line. Whats the betting some goon @ Parcel Line is now driving around with a neat pair of Toyo's? Goddamn it. Arggg!
  4. Thanks for the feedback, muchos appreciated! Reckon i wil go for the Toyo's, although concerned about tyre wear. Dealer fit price = 12ukp (valve balance, VAT). back street should be good for 5ukp :D ;Dealer pricing (215/45/17) = 180ukp (Bridgestone i think?)
  5. Hi all, I need some new rubber. Have been looking around; :hocus-pokus: found these guys; http://Mytyres.net Has anyone had dealings with them previously? Are the prices ok? Hankook *** VENTUS K102 215/45 ZR17 87W £ 66,90 Matador *** MP41 215/45 R17 87W £ 68,50 Toyo *** PROXES T1-S 215/45 ZR17 87W Rim-protection £ 80,70 Firestone *** Firehawk SZ40 215/45 R17 87W £ 81,60
  6. Jezus! Most impressive B) I'm gettin mid 20's in urban, about 30ish on motorway. Have noticed that one needs to keep the revs below 3750 to get anywhere near 30mpg.
  7. I've been thinking about this all week - thanks for confirming my suspicions. The 'cyclical' heating effect is really pi$$ing me off, although is real effective when the heater finally does come back on. (2002 / 02 IS200 SE)
  8. I've always found an excess has been applied, although not often pointed out. This has been true for both courtesy cars & 24hr test drives. A figure of 200GBP springs to mind? (None of these have been with Lexus)
  9. Hi yawl... I recently (last week) migrated from BM -> Lexus. I went with the IS200 SE, after much deliberation between Sport / SE. Driving >35K PA, I was a bit nervous of having the limited slip diff. I can see it costing more on tyres from cornering etc. With the mileage I'm doing, this is a major factor. Also was not too impressed with the alloy pedels. The two most important features I liked were tinted glass & rear spoiler. The glass takes the sting out of no longer having an electrochromatic rear view mirror, and the spoiler finishes the boot well. From this picked up an 02 plate SE, Plat Ice (better on stone chips) + front sports grill & rear spoiler, with LED's. Looks nice, drives well. No longer will I be continually let down & disapointed by B%S's service departments! Glad I made the transistion. :D The only negative so far is in having the extra horses, can't stop caining the thing!
