  1. Hi guys the threads holding the hub on are knackered on my LH rear drive. I was wondering if anyone had any that they'd be willing to sell. I have no chance of getting one over the christmas. thanks D
  2. Anyone can beat someone who doesnt use the gears properly, If you use the is where its most comfortable (just before the limiter kicks in) you'd Woop alot of cars. you have to be aggressive with it,(IS's are well able for hard shifting and love to rev). they are not that slow. red lining is not that bad. the limiter is there to prevent damage so it limits the engine before it will do harm. so dont be afraid to take it to it. try that drag again doing as i say and i guarentee you'll leave him sitting, by the way start off with the revs up at about 2000 - 2500rpm.
  3. i havent had it checked yet. I am getting tyre wear on the insides of the front but I didnt want to get the tracking done until i got tyres and i didnt want to get tyres until i found out if i had bushings or track rod ends gone. but you sound like you had the same problem so I'm gonna take your advice. getting new shoes on my lexi tomorrow and gonna see if she's straight. thanks mate.
  4. Thanks for that. I'll check the shocks. it has been handling strange on cornering lately. What sort of price did you pay for the shocks? thanks. I have seen a good few post about the warpped disks but mine doesnt seem to be vibrating on braking, I feel no vibration through the brake pedal. the wheels are balanced and preasure seems fine. do the track rod ends give trouble on the IS's? thankls for the help. It has no crash history. its been service from new by toyota/lexus. i dont know am i just paranoid but i keep thinking a feel slight knocking through the steering wheel.. could be just making myself think that. I brought it into lexus and they said i needed a lower pass ball joint and a rear hub. could they have missed track rod end's? are they known to wear on the IS?
  5. Can anyone help me? I have a 99 is200 and it’s wandering, very hard to keep it going straight. I brought it to Lexus and they said I needed a rear LH hub because a bushing was worn and a front LH bottom ball joint. I changed both with little difference to the handling. I also have a vibration at about 70mph when I take my foot from the throttle. It seems to be only when the torque from the engine is not on the drive as it goes away if I decelerate in gear, when I coast in neutral it stays vibrating. I don’t think the guys in Lexus like dealing with the IS200 suspension as diagnosing problems with it is extremely difficult .
  6. your a legend. thanks. worked a treat. took a couple of tries but once i got the frequency right it worked. I also got my spare key working. Its never worked since i bought it.. again i say ..Legend!!! Darren
