  1. Hi Guys, Does anyone know where to buy brake wear indicators for a LS460 in the UK The Lexus dealer is asking a ridiculous £250 for two wires with a contact on one side :tsktsk: Thanks in advance.
  2. Thanks guys, I have just ordered them from Autoprochassis this morning. Thanks for all the constructive advice.
  3. That's the one I found but was a bit put off by his negative feedback reading delivery times from Taiwan and not Fife as stated on ebay
  4. Tried that one already and keep going round in circles!!!
  5. Hi Guys, Please can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase a full set of drop links (front & rear) for an IS200 without paying ridiculous dealer prices :duh: Thank in advance
  6. Any idea where where I can get these parts from in the UK??
  7. Just to let you all know I got a gallon of ATF T4 from Lexus at nearly £50 and changed the gearbox oil a few days ago and it seems to have sorted the problem. I checked all the gearbox and engine mounts and they were fine. :winky: Thanks for all the advice guys.
  8. Hi Guys, I have an IS200 Se auto on a 53 reg with 41,000 on the clock. Recently I have noticed a slight 'thud' or shudder when changing up/down in gear at low speeds and only when the car is at full tempreture, not when its cold. I also noticed that the first gear take off is slightly more noisey than usual. Having said that I am pretty sure that this was evident in the last three IS200's I have owned and may just be a characteristics of the car. Looking at the full history on the car I see that it has not had a gearbox oil change. Would everyone agree that an oil change will resolve this issue. Unless anyone else on this forum has any advice to offer. Has anyone had the same problems and if so how was it resolved? Also please can you let me know if there is anything other than just the automatic gearbox oil that needs to be changed, such as a internal automatic gearbox metal filter like in some cars which is located under the gearbox sump? Or is it just the gearbox oil on its own. Finally, when checking auto gearbox oil, is it checked with engine on tick over or engine switched off/ Thanks in advance.
  9. I got these repeaters on ebay from New Zealand delivered to the UK within 14 days, check them out there look great fitted. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CRYSTAL-SMOKED-SIDE...id=p3286.c0.m14 They come with orange bulbs but I put the chrome one which flash orange. :winky: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...40&start=40 If you look at my last update you ll see that i ve done the same wi the indicators but for a grand total of a fiver!lol Used a can of light tinting spay, which is a sillicone based paint. Also used this to paint the inners of my headlights and its given a sort of dark crome effect i ll get pics up later :D I thought of spraying them black like you suggest, but then decided to buy the ones from New Zealand ebay. :winky: I'm glad I did because the quality and finish on the ones I bought is far superior than spraying them.
  10. no ones slating you, or having a go at you. The petrol Gague and the mpg needle on the is200 are probably both wrong. 1 quater of a tank = 15£ ish in fuel, so 110 miles isnt to bad, and is dooable. especially if any dual carriageway or motorway driving is involved. I used to be able to get good mileage for fuel on my is200 but then I didnt buy mine for fuel efficiancey, would I buy another one = YES. Butpeople have to remmber, they cant have luxury and fuel eco at the same time with the is200. The is200 has a special way of being driven, in 5th the is200 is very happy doing 30mph. Has anyone thought of having their IS converted to LPG???? If so what's the cost, mpg, performance and praticality?
  11. Engine is running sweet as nut, just had it serviced 2 weeks ago. I think iy may just be the attaching screw needs tightening as you suggested. Does the panel just come off when levered off?
  12. :winky:
  13. Hi Guys, My rear view mirror keeps shaking while I am driving and also when I am on tick over, driving me bonkers :tsktsk: Does anyone know if it can be tightened and if so how? Or does anyone any other remedy? Thanks in advance.
  14. Yes they are CR1616, I just got two last week from an electronics wholesaler locally in Manchester for 50p each. I have spotted them on ebay for about £2-£3 delivered. What ever you do dont ask the dealer, they quoted me £68 for two batteries fitted along with plenty of bull***t about the keys dropping the code and need re-coding. :shutit: I just took both of them out myself, replaced with new ones and they both worked perfect.
  15. I'd like one too, so if anyone finds them could you let me know.. pretty please... Col One for me too!!!!
