  1. If I was single turbo'ing my own Aristo I'd go with a 61 or 63mm turbo, or GT4088. Keep the stock intake manifold unless your planning on running more than 600hp, it doesn't become restrictive before that and you'll lose the great FBW throttle. The front seats in the Aristo are around 75kg a pair, most aftermarket seats are around 20kg a pair! Regards, Gaz.
  2. I keep those readily available ;) I thought of doing this. 6speed swap, Ditching the dash, (Defi Super Sports Cluster!), steering wheel - trd replacement wheel, cruise, FBW throttle, VSC would all be gone. Standalone management with VVTi control. Cost was looking in 10k+ thats at cost. You'd never get the money back for this. Gaz.
  3. I fitted the Blitz SBC-ID VIII to mine, took 3 hours taking it easy - gromet to get the wires through is not easy on the Aristo. Theres one UNDER on the relay/fuse box cover, top left hand side of the engine as you look at it which you need to unbolt to get access too. Very stealthy though. Greddy Profec B2 is the best VFM boost controller. Very simple to use - my favourite. Induction Kits - Power Enterprise - the cheapest for the Aristo - I have one of these fitted to mine, took about 20 mins to fit due to the stock air box. BOV - as the other guys have said, HKS are the best. 10 minute job to fit. Regards, Gaz.

  5. A manual conversion on MKII is not an easy thing, I have looked into this a lot. It will be expensive, very expensive to do properly. Gaz.
  6. It's an LED on the MKII Bri, I can't see that working... I'll have a look into this over the Xmas break if someone doesn't fix it sooner :) Gaz.
  7. Its a popular thing on Supra's too - only the upgraded filter to use is the Lexus V8 not a Landcruiser filter ;) Gaz.
  8. Sounds about right :) Dave, is it the 4502-RA003 part from HKS? Gaz.
  9. Theres always limits isn't there! Whats revs is 155mph at? :D Gaz.
  10. Dave, Can you go full throttle with this unit or do you have to keep it to 90/95% throttle in 4th - that was the only issue with the TRL unit I can't see the HKS being any different. Gaz.
  11. Never really looked for the beeper but I know most of the Supra guys have removed it from those fairly easily. Regarding the mirrors, it can be done but you'd need to build a circuit to do it. On of the guys in the IS forum posted a version of it a while back. Its designed to work off an alarm so you'd have to adapt it off the ignition. Theres no simpler as the guys that put my alarm in said it can't be done off a signal from an alarm as it requires a specific signal to do it. Gaz.
  12. You don't get boost creep on MKII Aristo's Skeet, even with a full de-cat. You have to install a boost controller to increase boost... Gaz.
  13. Great guide here: http://www.jdm-option.com/eng/feature/05_10/bodyup.html#012 Gaz.
  14. Oops, sorry guys, will get on this now. Will take a few days though. Gaz.
  15. Yep I have them fitted :) No bulb warnings, works fine. Great upgrade to the car, looks newer :) Gaz.
  16. You'd think a car with 4WS wouldn't have the turning circle of a football pitch then :D
  17. Get some clear pics, I'll have them translated :D Gaz.
  18. Welcome back mate, hope all is well now, sounds like you've had a rough time. Not sure how long I will have my Aristo now though, looking to sell. :( Gaz.

  20. Hi Rob, Dunno about the MKI, but the MKII has electric fans :D Gaz.
  21. No Gaz, but I have seen LS430 with TV fitted. Theres 2 ways then depending on what equipment the LS430 has fitted. If it has an analogue system, you can simply put an composite video input over/into this and need nothing - other than finding the right wire, which was a nightmare in my Aristo. Option 2 is you need an RGB/Sync convertor to work with the feed to the screen from the standard navigation system. This box is a fix, albeit not the cheapest: http://www.nav.tv/products.php?prodcat=17&catname=Lexus And there is the audio - not going to be easy! Gaz.
  22. Do you have an AV input on the LS430? Regards, Gaz.
  23. Just painted mine gold (black car). Took the liberty of upgrading them at the same time to 4 pots :D Pics in Aristo section. Gaz.
  24. Hi Naz, I'll try and sort the DVD info out for you, may save you (a lot of) trouble! I think you may be OK dropping the amp in all honesty. From what I can tell I can it is only an amp - the computer itself handles the audio controls etc. You may have to fool the headunit that the amp is still there depending on how you wire the power up etc. BTW if you want to run the screen when moving (the headunit automatically cuts pictures when you move onto ignition power) you'll need to get an adaptor from Japan. I can sort this out for you if you require it. Regards, Gaz.
  25. Hi Naz, Bingo! :) It is the very bottom unit. The one on top is the computer that runs everything, and on top of that is the Sat/Nav unit. I am confident you can run anything you like once I get the wiring colours sorted. I personally think the stock setup is damn good, and I am a music freak. The only option I am taking is to upgrade the front speakers. I have already ripped out the J-spec nav and wired in a DVD player to the stock electronics. That took a bit of finding ;) Are you intending to run new speaker wires to each door etc? I was beginning to think I made the wrong choice getting a model with TV etc due to it being seriously integrated with the whole car it seemed but I am glad now that I have the AV side of things working! Regards, Gaz.
