  1. I was also looking through old posts and I came across this one. I had an is200 which i sold about three weeks ago for a civic type r. I had the sti spoiler on my car, which also had very wide 20" alloys and wide bodykit. The paint was the rage flip between green, blue and purple. It was very impressive, but it had to go as I got a 400bhp type r!!! You do have to go for a mental look to pull it off though as mine looked sh**e untill the kit was fitted and painted (3 days) Did you end up fitting it in the end?? Do you have any pics of it if you did fit it?? I dont have any pics of mine as they are at my brothers house who is away with the army, so I wont be able to get them for another 10 weeks or so. I will post them when he is back for all to see. Tom :)
  2. Not understanding you at all, 1st you have 19inch with rubbing problems on your arch, you wanting spacers fitting thats going to make things 100% worse. Now you asking what off-set and width ?? Anyway you would be better with 45ET off-set and 8J wide, you can use 235/35/19 tyres with no problems at all B) I was told that I would need spacers to take the wheel a touch further from the hub, stopping the scrub. Then on an aftermarket wheel forum they mention the offset and width wheels. Thanks for advice though Gord you knowledgable chap!! Tom
  3. Hi anyone, what width and offste wheel should I look for when buying a new set of 19's as im after a black set. Tom
  4. Yeah definately go for the set with the red lip. They will look boss on the black lexus. Just a word of advice... ive got 19" wheels on my car with 235/35/19 on all four and when there is weight in the back (not even a lot) the inside of the tyres scrape on the arches as they are too wide and you may need some spacers, but the pins arent long enough to have the 5mm spacer required and then you will need the longer pins or an extension set to allow for the extra room. Im told that 225/35's should be the max with no troubles... bit late for me when I spent £850 on the damn tyres. You should look into it first. Oh by the way, does anyone know where to get the pin extension that I need?? Im told they go over the original pins to form a longer pin, giving enough room for the spacer. Tom :winky: the extension set u are talking about is for very thick spacers of about 25mm or more - i have not seen an extension set for thin 5mm spacers. if u really want the wheels then just get longer studs. Hi, I already have the wheels on the car. Where would I be more likely to find the studs from??

  6. Hi, thanks for the advice. Im not sure of the offset as I bought them second hand off eBay as they came off an is200. How can I check this??
  7. Hi, ive got some 19" alloys on my is200 and when I go around bends (left and right) the wheels tyres sound like theyre scraping on the underside of the arches. I only noticed this lastweek as I was driving to football with people in the back and kits/equipment in the boot, and it doesnt do it any other time. Do I need to take the arch liner out to prevent this as its really annoying and dont want to damage my tyres or anything. The suspension has not been lowered or anything, but its not squeaking, just an embarrasing scraping sound. Does anyone else have this problem?? Any help or advice would be appreciated, Tom :shutit:
  8. Hi people, its been a while since ive been on the forum. I am after a turbo for my Lexus is200 sport but unsure of the options available to me. I dont want a large turbo as there will be quite a lot of lag. So can anyone help me out please!! Tom
  9. Hey mate, I got one for £63 incl p+p. Now I feel like an arse cosidering Lexus actually sell something cheap. Someone was selling them for well over £100 before christmas. I may have been ripped off, but my grill comes painted in platinum ice silver, which saves me a job. 786-sales, robbing swines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Ok, thanks very much. Im going to get saving. But its a hard choice... get married or supercharger... get married or supercharger... hmmm, what will I do...
  11. Mine is a 2001 sport and it is just a standard rear lip. That is either an additional mod prior to purchase or an is300
  12. Hello people, im after a supercharger for my 2001 is200 sport and have heard that you can buy them secondhand. Is this not recommended?? I know they cost around £4k, which I dont have yet. Is there any other cheaper options but with no loss of reliability?? Ive seen the ones from Prolex-uk who include extras. Any info would be most grateful. Tom :D
  13. Yeah, seen it, nice one Stav. Tom
  14. Could it be done by a rank amateur, like me or does it need to go to the audio shop... again?? Could you let me know how to do this please?? Thanks, Tom :)
  15. Hi, I have a full ice install inc an innovatek dvd player with a flip down screen and tv. But when I set my sound specifications, ie vocal mix with bass, and turn the car off, it resets itself to default which is starting to get on my nerves as I have to reset it every time. I have 1000watt components in the front and jbl 6x9's in the rear with a 1500watt sub and dont feel I am getting the most out of it due to this. I have been told that if the ignition wire is not connected that it will reset. I didnt do it myself as it looked complicated with the lexus wiring, but now I wish I had. Can anyone shed any light. Tom ps, I am going to sell the DVD player as soon as I get my hands on an alpine or kenwood system, if anyone is interested, let me know
