  1. i agree, but whereas engines are probably pretty much run-in, the transmission and brakes etc won't be.
  2. I can't believe the power output changes, I think it's just the shift pattern thats altered, but it does feel slightly more responsive to the throttle as I said in a previous post.
  3. also before you turn the engine off, put it in neutral, this leaves the radio on, then you can put it in Park.
  4. The ECT power on, gives you more power, so you're saying the engine mapping or whatever is change to increase power? What power is produced in normal mode? I presume 204bhp is prodused in 'power' mode.
  5. It took me a while to figure this out. if the intermittant rotating thing is set to most frequent then the wipers don't change to intermittant when you stop.
  6. not sure if it's just in my mind, but it seems to slightly sharpen up throttle response, but could just be my imagination.
  7. i couldnt find details about running period. just kept it chilled out for first few hundred miles.
  8. I scuffed the lower edge of my bumper the other day, it's only the bit below what looks like a join line. Does anyone know if this part is replaceable and if so any idea of cost?
  9. yes its lockable, and i believe in one break-in test it resisted break-in for something like 5 minutes before they gave up.
  10. I've had minimal experice with BMW, maybe it's because they sell so many 3 series they aren't bothered about a few customers, whereas Lexus are bothered and make the effort. The Lexus dealer I've dealt with most (Southampton) aren't perfect, but no one is, but I am highly impressed with them.
  11. i had 3 of mine stolen when i popped into tesco's for 15 minutes. Thieving scum.
  12. I don't have the multimedia thing and I don't miss it at all. £2700 (?) way too much
  13. the thought of a S2000 came to me today, i see it has already been suggested. Group 20 insurance might be hard to swollow. Budget wont stretch to a decent Exige unfortunately. Running costs are fairly irrelevant as mileage will be minimal. Budget for buying is upto / around £10000
