  1. Hi. I fitted an eight sensor system myself. They're excellent. Look on eBay for Naviks. This little interface hooks up to your sat nav computer in the boot and allows a camera. I also added iPod/iPad/iPhone connections to it do I can watch video on the nav screen and listen to tunes from my phone etc. Gary.
  2. I just replaced the whole back box with straight pipes. Custom made s/s with nice oval tips. £230 from my local Zorstec.
  3. There is nothing under the back seat, but the subwoofer is behind the backrests. I've seen a conversion kit on a U.S website that basically turns it into a luggage hold. The name escapes me for now. Gaz.
  4. Hi all. I need the above part. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a replacement? Hopefully without having to spend £200+ on one from the dealer! Cheers Gary.
  5. Hi. I was going to suggest letting me do it but your off the radar so to speak. I'm up in Bradford so it's a bit of a trek. Gary
  6. Hi, Go here http://www.jkwebdesign.net/lsocbb/index.php?sid=d53c5df123cb24d624de34f01b983303 and PM a guy called V84. He makes (very good) carbon bits for the Mk3 Soarer. He may be able to do the MK4 dash if enough silver crosses his palm lol
  7. Hi, Where abouts are you situated? Gary.
  8. I'm contemplating prototyping a kit for my SC430. Prob got the bits laying around to do a rough tester. Got a customers car and a project Soarer for my own company to do first though. May try and squeeze it inbetween. Gary
  9. Hi Gary, I have the identical problem. Could you let me know where the sensor is located on the back axle please? Is it easy to spot? Kind regards, Colin On the passenger side bud. You'll spot it attached to the lower arm.
  10. New one here bud. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEXUS-SC430-BREAKING...=item27af70a541
  11. How much did they charge you if you don't mind me asking? I've looked them up and they have a branch in Warrington (not too far). Gary.
  12. Did you have to re-set the suspension geometery when you lowered it?
  13. Like this one (mine) http://s981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/L...060210_1216.flv
  14. Why is that :-) Because of this VOSA flowchart (although it's July 1995 rather than 1994): http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m3s07000307.htm If you get your MOT man to list the car as modified then you don't need to re-fit the cat.
  15. Also that yukky and grubby a post trim was transformed yesterday. A posts, top screen trim, rv mirror and sun visors. All are now blacker than black.
  16. Hi Mike, I posted re snow mode query a while back and I thought that nobody had taken any notice. Assuming that your experiment was in answer to me; thank you. Do you think that using snow mode, all or most of the time, could do any damage to anything? I assume the engine switches to a higher gear sooner than normal cutting performance but saving fuel. Also, there's been alot of talk about changing transmission fluid of late. My '98 LS400 Mk 1V has nearly 99K on clock - I'ver noticed lately that acceleration from stationary, when first starting up, a bit strange - similar to the clutch slipping if it were a manual geared car. It then seems o bite and from then on is OK. Could this be a sign of fresh fluid being needed, or someghing more serious? The car hasn't had it's timing cam belt changed yet - should I get tat done soon? Thanks to anyone who might read and/or reply. I do enjoy reading all the postings and assume we're all learning something from someone - thanks to you all. My soarer has a built in safety for a cold gearbox. It basically changes more gentley until the oil is up to temp. Yours could be the same? Snow mode on my SC430 seems to reduce power and make the throttle less responsive.
  17. :D Be as smug as you like man! I already have 2 Lexii lol. One shouldn't be modest about owning such a fine machine :)
  18. LOL. jack up the car each side at a time (enough to get the driver in past the tyre) and remove the 2 small screws at the rear of the liner using a stubby pozi. Prise the liner outward and you'll see a self tapping bolt where the bumper meets the wing. Undo this, and the pop stud at the bottom underside of the bumper. Pull the bumper away from the car just to unclip from the wing seam. Use the stubby pozi to undo the screw holding the reflector while holding the bumper away from the car. Gary
  19. You'll be pleased to know then, due to extensive research and development, and the cost of giving away LS600's. Lexus now attempt to install LED's where practical. Thus saving such future hassles with rusty tools
  20. The pdf would be nice cheers! EFSelec@blueyonder.co.uk I see you already have the car. What's it like day to day? I don't need a wedding car lol. prefer the colour combo i posted earlier, or maybe the black wood trim. But deffo dark paint and light leather. (not grey though). I did like the reddish option on my SC430 but ended up with black. My Soarer TT has black/silver grey interior (custom). Cheers. Gary.
  21. There's a few with around 8k on the clock for similar money. But the colours are all wrong
  22. lol. Sorry. Look on the other post about boot carpet colour
  23. Fairly easy. You can do it without removing the bumpers. 12 led's +4 lamp holders (501 type). A drill and a bit of patience. Carpets had to be removed completely, then sprayed with carpet dye. The plastic parts are primered then sprayed with ordinary car paint.
  24. Cheers. I've seen a '57 plate with 18k on the clock. (SE-L). £32k. Tempted :winky:
