was told by the fitter last night that if you happen to be driving and it runs outs just switch over to petrol and should be fine but dont leave it for a long time otherwise you might hear a nasty bang when you put your foot down hard! ( thats just scary alone!) he said the car should be fine as long as you quickly turn over to petrol.Your other point about starting up and stalls I have had that but only when i started the car in my 1st couple of occasions but never after works all the time. the only time i had it stall was when i was playing with the switch from gas to petrol and back again quickly the car system dont like that ( dont ask my why i did it stupid me) .

Please can someone confirm if im correct that the size for the MK1 GS300 sport wiper blades are 1 x 24 inch drivers side blade and 1 x 20 inch passenger side?

Thanks for clearing this up.ok been to see an LPG expert ( so he says) and he said that I have a 70 ltr tank ( 58ltr usuable ) and that the system is old also i tend to think when the red light starts blinking its near empty but its not it actually has about 15ltrs remaining. so im gona let it run dry and fill up to the top. He also said if it fills up and not used up all ltrs as expected keep pushng more in as the floating sensor inside tends to move about and if gas is still going in but slowly carry on it should stop by it self or untill you get to about 55ltrs - is this correct? if so that would mean that I fill up less hence why i need filling up every 3 days. Im going to another fitter tomorrow to get another opinion. Your LPG fitter is correct - he has described exactly what I have to do. I rarely run it to empty as my regular routes mean I stop by Morrisons every 200 miles or so, meaning I fill up every 2 or 3 days. My light can blink after as few as 125-150 miles. Tends to blink constantly from about 180 - 190 miles. Around 55ltrs is correct, but it can depend when you fill up. Liquids are bigger when warmer so you get more fuel if you fill up when it's cold unless I've got that round the wrong way of course. And yes, I was as surprised as you when I "discovered" the location of the petrol tank, when i was bored one day and started looking for mislaid money/tools etc. in the boot. Thanks for confirming and yes the petrol tank is a bit of a shock!!! So far driven it 4 days now without filling and the red light is blinking now and then (mostly when i put my foot down then goes back to green) but not constantly on red. One other thing how will I know when the gas is just about to run out or has run out ? other then not having any power left in the accelerator pedal (will the red light vanish or blink very fast or somthing?)

Thanks, If you mean the gas hole its on the rear right hand side of the bumper near the bottom :tsktsk: - a bit of a biach at times but you get used to it

thanks Craig and for the low down on these cars, as for the spoiler I may well be interested in buying it if you decide to sell but in part x for me wheels it may prove difficult for you lol. I waited along time to find a sport with wide wheels on em they are so rare and hard to find....shame it not came with a spoiler

mine is in the spare wheel well but not sure how big it is but i normally fill up at around 30 ltrs but that when i start seeing the red light blinking now and then (still not got the hang of it yet so not taking any risks in leavign it dry) Yeah my boot mat is cut but not all of it lol only slighty on one side. Im going to see an LPG fitter tonight and get a few questiones answered and will let you guys know. Can peeps provide pics of boots without an lpg system fitted to get an idea of how big the boot is as I seem to have a tank behind the back seat - is this the PETROL tank?? surely not ( sorry guys in new to the lexus so nto sure what the boot looks like ) usuf

Thankyou chips for putting up the link on here. Paul - I too also think will look better with a boot spoiler which is why im after one. The guy I brought it off said it never came with one :( it is clean for its age but it does have a roof dent and the sunroof is cracked but not leaking in water, this happened the day I was going to buy it ( last Thursday when we had that server weather conditions ) and one of his house tiles came off and landed on the car roof! just my luck. However I was abel to get is cheaper than the asking price.. I will get it fixed through my insurance but im waiting a week to claim it and other little scratches/minor dents so i can have a the body work all fixed up and immaculate. usuf.

is it easy to fit another gas tank if you already one in the spare wheel area, but instead in another location coz mine in the spare wheel seem small i do loadsa miles and need filling up every 3 days!!!

last week and have joined the LOC. Here she is (not sure if the pics will come up) can some please comfirm that the pics are viewable Im looking to buy a rear spoiler and tint the windows other than that i not gonna do no body mods. Can some help as I dont have a clue where find an original or even an after market ( as long as it aint to wild) rear gs300 sport spoiler please. I have booked it in for a full service next week but are there any things that I should concentrate on or beware of so that the car drives fine all year, any info/advice would be great. Thanks usuf

Hi all my name is usuf and I have been on this site for some time reading up on the site which is fantastic so I joined but not really said hello as i was shy and the fact I did not have a lexus BUT i do have one now :D and thought i might as well make my self official on the lex club B) . I have met some of you guys at JAE last year who took time to show me and my wife their cars (just before the rain/thunder arrived - that was fun ) sorry guy dont remember your names but the cars where a black gs300 mkI and blue gs300 mkII on LPG both parked together... ok about me and my car well it was my birthday yesterday ( thought id point that out :) ) and brought a mkI R reg Blue gs300 sport on lpg :D last week. Its a fantastic car and very economical on gas that is. I live in berkshire dunno if anyone is close to me but it would be nice to be able to meet other member or at meets. I hope to be part of this new club as I was and still am part of the nissan primera owners club (NPOC) where I had a 2.0 eGT (still have in the family but owned by my bro now) which had its fair share of mods, I might post up some pics if any ones interested I will post up some pics of my ride as soon as i get them off the camera. sorry one other thing, what is needed for membership if there is one.
