  1. Yes they are bullet proof but I wouldn't buy a car from my neighbour, one of their many loan cars supplied after the numerous insurance claims they have had was automatic, It flumuxed them a bit as one of the sons must have the habit of changing a car into first gear before stopping unfortunately if you ram the stick in an auto all the way forward before stopping or slowing down for a corner all you do is stop sharply with a big crunch as it passes through reverse. ( he did not learn from the first time it happened either) Crunch oh the neighbour is home again. Mind you at least it was a shorter car than their BMW, Then I know they have come home as the crunch means they have tried to get into the house without using the front door. I do keep on telling them their house isn't a mc Donalds drive through. We also now have a double thick dividing wall ( tied in) between our front gardens, after the sixth rebuild. Needless to say my Lexus is not parked on the street, or anywhere near where they might be attending the steering wheel. I learn't my lesson on that one when the Mother reversed out of the drive way straight over my newly purchased (one & a half hours) Honda fireblade motorcycle, The thing is She knew it was there & the daughter was guiding her out. So in conclusion I don't think even an ls 400 would fair too well in their hands. Mind you they never get a chance to sell on any of their cars unless its for scrap.

  3. Hi its had filler in the near side rear door & wheel arch repaired badly as well. Not the best of colours in my opinion also. Cheap nasty tyres. I would not waste my time going to view it.
  4. Thats a good price for the spec & quallity of the install , I think your Dad might get more work coming his way. I like the 22mm filler & a neat place to store the adaptor.
  5. Hi does it have a misfire at all revs or does it just hunt slightly at tickover.
  6. They could also be serving free bee r( they missed a trick there ). :D
  7. Doesn't happen to me I am on lynux so don't get attacked with spam.
  8. Its your front sun roof drains blocked try putting some hot water down them first. before you start to poke anything down them to clear them.
  9. There is no warning for front driving lamps or number plate bulbs also. As for brake lights the red handbrake light comes on.
  10. I thought you wouln't have missed it, Just wanted to be sure . Some of the installs at profes that I saw there was nothing on show, Leon said sometimes the problem with that is, the customers like to see what they are getting for their money. ( I suppose it also means its easier to get at if any maintenance is needed as they give a lifetime parts & labour warranty ).
  11. Ther is a video somewhere of a stack of champagne glasses filled to the brim on the bonnet & revved up not a drop spilt & another of a glass of water on top of the engine on a rolling road taken up to 145mph & back down again same result.
  12. Very neat, So all is revealed how you are so up on your lpg conversions. one thing I noticed is the water pipe at the rear of the black engine cover, there is a real sharp edge under the rubber seal have you got any clearance there as it will cut through the pipe if not. Just looks tight in the pics.
  13. My longest stint was 17 hours down to south Germany 2 winters ago in heavy snow, My eyes were shot from driving 400+ miles of the 700 mile journey in deep setled snow but the rest of my was fine.
  14. Could it be a sticking switch, they do not come on automatically. I think they only work with the lights on though.
  15. Hi Profess have a branch in Chesterfield about £1400 for a good conversion with a lifetime parts & labour warranty.
  16. The one on mine was done at 136k on mine, It was owned by a mechanic mate of mine. He got it done by a company here while he was in he asked how much would they recon it remove & fit it for. They quoted him £100 so he let them do it , I don't think they will do another one for that sum some how.
  17. My mate put his boxter into porshe for a service. they done the service & gave him a quote of £8000 to put the other bits & bobs right on it. He declined their kind offer as the car was only worth £5000.
  18. Keep us posted, the wheels you can sort & the dent if the paint hasn't broken. If you have to spend another £300 getting the damage & scratch sorted you will still have it fairly cheap & not had the expense of travelling to look at wrecks. Its a pain when people don't admit to the car having damage its an unfortunate fact that most sellers don't. I hope its not worse than the things you have already found, If it drives fine & you have to spend a bit all should be well. It took me 18 months to find my first LS I must have looked at 30 of them & spent a good £500 in fuel before I found the right one with the right history it was 230 miles away. good luck Mark.
  19. My last ls400 had 192k when I sold it & the interior looked as new apart from the drivers seat which looked like 20ks wear.
