Well It’s gone and I am so glad. I picked the car up on the 23rd of March 07 (traded 21 April 11) and since then it has been back to the dealers more times than I can remember. Here is a list of what I can remember for warranty I had done on my IS250 sport • Drivers seat had a big knife mark down the back. apparently caused by the chap who took the plastic cover off seat when completing the PDI • 1st attempt to rectify rattle problem from behind dash • 2nd attempt to rectify rattle from behind dash • DVD playback stopped working since 2nd attempt at fixing rattle • DVD playback 2nd visit and Rattle 3 visit • DVD playback and rattle 4th vist • Sat Nav needed new ariel, stopped working • 1st to 2nd gear notchy • Clutch number 1 • Rattles from passenger side (glove box) • New set of alloys due to corrosion • 1st to 2nd gear notchy • Clutch number 2 • Rattle from gear lever • Heated front seats not working. • 1st to 2nd gear notchy again • Clutch number 3 • Rattles from behind Dash again 4th year of ownership out of warranty the clutch was on it’s way again, as so were the replacement alloys. Replaced with this BMW 123d M-Sport

Had my 250 sport in today for its 40k service was offered a new service pack for £700 for the next 3 services is the a reasonable price ?

Ive got a 2007 sport MM and noticed 1 of the wheels has started corroding, this might sound dumb will they just repair the wheel or replace it, if replace it will they replace all 4 or just the one thats knackered.

ok bit of an update........ 6 weeks on.................. been away with work and on holiday. Car seems ok no rattles whatsover !!!!! (now that temating fate) they gave me an RX350 for 4 days which was very nice :D so far so good.

I was thinking of writing Lexus GB a letter do you think this would get all my problems sorted. P.S The only good thing is that they give me a RX400h as a courtesy car

The car as been off the road now for 10 days as everytime the car goes in they need it for 2 days.

Thought would just say hello. just ordered a IS250 sport in Argento Ice with MM for delivery in march. My current car is a Honda Civic Type R which as been superb over the past 4 years but wanted somthing with a bit more comfort and lots of toys (I get electric windows and mirrors on the civic and thats it !!!!) I am thinking of taking the optional service plan Lexus Stockport have quoted me £622 for 4 services which sounds reasonable, as A Honda service was costing me around the £250 mark. Is this a good price ? What would a normal service cost ? Also what is GAP insurance the dealers have given me figures but don't really know much about it. Thanks
