Cheers Wosket. Any other things to watch out for at certain mileages??

Just trying to find out when the important times come for the IS200, i.e. changing the more expensive parts like cambelts?? And also the larger more costly services mileage wise. Couldnt see anything in the buying guide. Have seen one with 50k on the clock within price range, but wondering if it might be due for a big service, or belt change soon?? Any advice welcome!! P.S - have you got a list of members willing to view cars, if you're 'distance buying' for example??

Very simple, but as i'm new and cant seem to find the answer anywhere i thought i'd ask! Is an IS 200 S the same as an IS 200 Sport?? I keep seeing IS200 Sport and also IS200 S and just wondering if they are 2 different versions or the same?? :D

Hi. Just wondering if there is a buying guide for used Lexus? Or is it Lexi? By this i mean things to look out for when buying, questions to ask, things to test, when to have cam belts done, service intervals etc etc. Had a look through various areas but couldnt find one. I'll be buying an IS200 sport/SE soon, but will be buying at the high mileage end, 60-100k, so sure there are a few things to check! Any pointers will be great, Thanks, Mark

Thanks for all the replies! GWilso - i've not had a single problem with the Fiat. I searched for ages to get a good one as if you dont get one thats looked after, has history, oil checked weekly etc etc then you can run into probs - but thats the same for any performance car really. I've had mine since October and it still puts a smile on my face! Its an amazing car. 0-60 in about 6.2 seconds. Cant think of anything else thats as fast, as stylish, and as fun for the money.

Just thought i'd say hello to all! I've decided my next motor will be an IS200 and thought joining here would be a good start! I joined the forum for my other motor - my pride and joy - and have found it so valuable! I also have a vauxhall Meriva (exciting, i know!) which i need to sell before i get my hands on a lexus. Then the search will be on. Black, Se or Sport, with a budget of around £6k. I know i wont get a low miler for this but this doesnt really bother me too much. Unless anyone out there wants to swap their Lexus with my Meriva! So thats a bit about me, looking forward to chatting to you all! Cheers, Mark
