  1. Tints on just the rear half always did look silly and are now really quaint & old-fashioned. To solve your problem just repeat over and over again the mantra "Tinting is for Tw*ts, then do the sensible thing - get shot of them! I think they look sweet so dont worry about it. Its not only the look im in need to finish this job of for, its due to having to use the lexus for work now as my vans off the road and the backseats have to be used for storage since the seats dont drop. Thanks for the advice though! oh wait..
  2. Long story short, the last part of doing my 'is' up is the rear tints, the guy ive always used on my cars quoted me 130, for the back 3 windows, which is good. whats bad is, he says he cant do the big back rear window due to the heating filaments corroding on the glass and the tinting film will not stick to it, he attempted it twice and said id need a new screen.. anyway after huge quotes for a new rear screen ive been put of the idea, except he managed to tint the 2 rear passenger windows so the car looks a bit daft.. :tsktsk: Has anyone experienced or heard of this, surely there must be a way to get around this.. i mean surely.. 350 quid for a new rear window just aint the answer thanks in advance
  3. I shall ring tommorow :), will it not matter that its an american part though?
  4. yeah i found this ''es300 part number: 81231-50010'' but to be honest im not sure what to do with that..
  5. Anyone selling these? ive seen a few threads from years ago when people have all bought them. Looked all over the internet but seems you can only get them in america and they wont ship them :( thx
  6. Had my eye on these on ebay, they do them in allsorts of colours http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330417458940&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Has anyone ever used them or seen them on an IS, i got a feeling they will look cheap.. might have to just paint them manually hah
  7. all in it cost about 130 so id happyily take 100, i just want a better damn dash tray
  8. Easy.. think this is gunna be a costly project i might have to bang this back on ebay lol, i only wanted to make the interior look a bit different, cant believe its so tricky when the actual nav cars are about 4-5 grand nowadays haha thanks alot though you've probably saved me a helluva lot of money via me not having a go and making a big mess :)
  9. Ah damn, well im quite handy at making things just not a clue with wiring, i reckon i could remove the sat nav and put a fake tray in it but its just the wiring, might have to get an auto electrician to have a look at making the buttons work, or is it easy to wire it into the cig lighter? thanks for the help phil
  10. Stunning car dude, love is200s in black, if i had my time again or cash, id definetly would have got a black one, spot on!
  11. Thanks for the help guys, just wondering though and again feel free to call me daft but.. would the wiring be in to connect the housing so the tilt/open buttons operate? the cars a 99 SE, Because sad as it sounds id be happy to take the satnav out and turn it into a storage device but it would be really nice if the motor lid still worked, would that be hard to connect? it cost me about 100 quid and the jdm altezza style lids are about that from the states so id kinda be happy to ignore the satnav, or if anyone wants it rather than me keeping it just let me know
  12. yes they do mate but in some cases you might loose the electronic hight control.approx £120 a pair. Been after these a while, and glad to hear they fit, does anyone know a stockist, ebay.com sells them but they dont ship to the uk :(
  13. Hey guys, im going to sound really thick in this thread but hey, ive just dropped a clanger and bought a used satnav intergated dash kit for my is200 (the standard part that comes with the navigator is200's) it had a problem the guy said in the advert that it kept opening on its own, but i overlooked that and thought id get a bargain, got it for 100 quid which i thought was great cause every time i see one come up on ebay they go for 3-400. Then.. for some stupid reason i thought it would be a case of presto chango and id have a satnav, and after doing a bit of reading around ( i know i should have does this first) ive realised its a massive job. Does anyone have any advice or help as im on a pretty tight budget and im useless at auto electrics myself, i was even considering somehow taking the satnav out and then turning the housing into a fancy storage thing.. would that even be possible? if anyone could also help on removing the original dash tray id be greatfull, and any input whatsoever would be so cool, thanks a lot in advance
  14. Khan RSS, right ive got the money ready and waiting but, will they go straight on or do they have to be fitted specially because according to kahns site they dont fit a lexus.. :'( at least we've found the rim ( i love you gord jamie and tigerfish)
  15. Thay are not mate, the wheel in the 1st post/pic is not the styling kit alloy, its a Khan wheel, trust me :winky: Gord the kahn rims you linked are 5 spoke, the ones in the pic are 6.. they must be the styling kit ones
