  1. I'm in the same boat, i put it down to all the dust that must have made its way into the retractor clogging it up all. If anyone does find a fix for it, let us all know!
  2. Sorry I couldn't help more Maneesh. But I hope you sort it out. The spin was certainly an experience :D I did like the executive lounge feel wrapped in brute performance and handling, very cool feeling :)

  7. If I remember rightly, you have to move the mirror right the way up using the electric controls, and clip it in top down.... When a flock of birds flew into my path and knocked mine out, i just used a bit of force and clipped it back in. I'm sure someone with more know how will clarify further, Good luck
  8. sounds like a slipping clutch, try to hold onto the biting point on the clutch just that little bit longer, give it more time to engage. Whats the mileage on it?
  9. lol rob, you broke it again! We've moved to the lobby again hehe
  10. I think it does it by heat, it recognises tyres, engine and human bodies, so the dummies will have to have heaters in it, so ive heard at least!
  11. Lexus Lane is an American term, they use it alot there, as BMW to us, is Lexus to them. So really, to us, this should have been called the BMW lane!
  12. £190 for some oil and an air filter seems abit much! but thats just me!
  13. very unlikely.. LE's are not that rare!
  14. well i did a bit of a test the past 2 weeks. a simple test really.. "change gear at 3k rpm". the result..... you ask? i went from 25mpg to 28mpg. just about 10% gain. and this morning i thought to myself, for 10%, my driving fun has gone out the window, i have to work harder to get through the gears, its not worth it. so this tank i have now, im going to back full throttle. :D
  15. ill give this ebay link a go... Try this.. Seems expensive though Shak, its £36 from a dealer.
  16. Have you got any pictures of the progress for us Tony :) ?
  17. I have the same problem, ive put it down to a loose power steering belt. Rob, what does that mean? Id like to look into it more, but no idea where to start. Cheers
  18. My view on this is... It is accurate regardless of altitude, becuase you have to remeber that the sattillites up there are beacons, and it is the car that picks up the signal, so if you're going down a hill from point A to point B, and that distance is 100m, on the road, but the straight line latitude distance is 90m, the car picking up the signal still traveled with you doing that same 100m, so it will work it out doing the actual distance. I hope that makes sense.. correct me if im wrong Vyker
  19. These can be done in my view, my local garage, has one in every other week, he strips it down to rid of the parts that are broken, then works back out to rebuild again buying all the parts he needs, sometimes when i take my car in and check out his "projects", they are just car shell's entire side of the car need to be bought, its mad! but hes profiting, so it must be working ok! But its easily said when you have the experience, and he usual only has the exotic cars, SL55's CL55's Cayannes and the like. If its your first, id stay away, if you're going to use a garage to help, it could be good!
  20. checked this last night, and no, they dont flash with the highbeams. Ill work on getting you the diagrams, it is an odd one this. I personally never thought the ECU did as much as even this little problem! I knew cars are becoming more complex... but this is just Windows! [iT Joke :P ]
  21. cool game, i dont know what level ive gotten to, but im at a point where its just one huge maze with spikes everwhere and takes over a minute to get to centre, only to die hehe thats enough for me, my boss is wondering what im doing!
  22. The setup of the unit is as follows... Lexus plug connects to the bulb, which has 3 further connectors that go directly to the ballast. So there is never a link between the setup and the battery. There are units that you can buy which connect directly to the battery in instances where there isnt enough power to use Xenons, however, I've not used one in this case. Geoffers, the lamp relay must still be in use, but is next in line after the ECU, as in, once you flick the switch in the cabin, it passes through the ECU, then to the relay, then into the bulbs. Could it be that the ECU would only pass a small enough current to the relay to prevent it from providing full power to the bulbs? I will try to find a way of getting the diagram my father saw over to you, but it might prove difficult as he saw it in passing and its in a huge single PDF document. I'm not sure about the flash question, i will try and get some one to come out with me tomorrow night to check to see if the HID's flash with the highbeams.
