  1. B)--> QUOTE(Hank B @ Feb 25 2007, 06:32 AM) ← I've E-mailed them to find out. If it ends up being price each then I reckon I'll just go for the set from pro lex, not DBA but you get the full set of 4 discs and mintex pads all round for 300 odd quid, good deal if you ask me. Anyone got these, any reviews? :duh: After a long time waiting, I finally got my DBA 4000 series slotted rotors. What a difference they make! I'm only running Bendix General CT brake pads and apparently they are no where near as good as Mintex pads, but I can tell you stopping from 120km/h to 40km/h is a lot faster than the stock brakes, braking also feels smoother and stopping rate is more linear. Strongly recommended.
  2. This might answer one of your questions Good luck!
  3. UPDATE: Received an email back from a staff member at DBA. She had tracked down a set of the rotors in another state, got it sent down to the distributor which I lodged the order with (without my knowledge lol very helpful), according to her it should be another few days before I get it. How exciting! I hope she's not getting my hopes up about the brakes lol.
  4. I'm in the same boat as IS300, thanks for the tips guys :D
  5. By getting it through a mate it would be cheaper than buying it anywhere else I've gone to. I've emailed DBA directly asking them if it really is the case that there is no stock in Australia whatsoever and whether I do have to wait almost a month for those discs. I'm not even sure what kind of reply I want from them LOL
  6. Hi all, I'm just in the need to rant and complain about this. After having purchased a 2004 IS200 Sports Luxury with only 30,000km on it, it turns out that we forgot to check the brakes. The rotors have quite a lip on them so they have to be replaced, I decided on a pair of DBA 4000 series slotted rotors. Went over to a mates workshop, ordered them in on a Wednesday from a distributer he uses, came back on a Friday to pick them up (because they said it would be in on a Friday) however, it had never arrived. My mate then called up the distributers and asked them what's going on, they simply replied "It's on back-order, won't be available for another 3 weeks" :tsktsk: He then started cracking the shiznits at them asking them why they didn't tell him in the first place and yadda yadda yadda... GRRRRRRRRR sooo annoyed! Sorry to let out my anger and frustration on here... but I'm so :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: angry.
  7. Same with me, and that's with a light to medium foot, no hard driving
  8. LOL, yeah I do know, however, it seems more active here in the UK forums. Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, 30,000km isn't high km especially for a clutch, my dad's Ford Transit is hitting 130,000km and still doesn't have the slightest hint clutch or gearbox issues. Thanks for the confirmation!
  9. Hi all! I'm new to this forum from downunder (Australia)! I seem to have almost the exact problem with my 2004 IS200 (bought with 30,000km on it from a lady), on the freeway when I exceed 120kmh there is this really bad smell coming from the car (similar to what is described above). Also, when I change gears it tends to overrev a tad, for example, I take my foot off completely at exactly 3000rpm and step on the clutch, it then revs to about 3300rpm (my foot is already off the accelerator). Is this also a sign of a slipping clutch? Thanks for your time, and btw I don't mean to hi-jack the thread :D
