shes female and doesnt have a car with a fob! would having the barrel in the wrong position stop the fob working too?

my housemate moved my car this morning as i was blocking another car. the alarm was set off as she used the key instead of the fob. she used the fob to turn the alarm off then got in the car and moved it fine. i go to use it a couple of hours later and she had left it unlocked. the fob now doesnt work and the key will not turn in the ignition. any ideas what the problem could be? apparently the key went in and out fine just a couple of hours ago! i did notice a cassette had been knocked into the player leaving the stereo on. thought the battery might be dying which would not allow the fob to work so i have tried jumping and disconnecting the battery already. any advice is much appreciated as im stuck at home on my day off!

I was so certain i wanted black or grey but i thought id go see a blue one anyway, as soon as i saw it in the sun light my mind was changed! what are the differences between the S, SE & the sport?

I have sifted through some pages of previous posts but couldnt find what i was looking for. Aparantly the rattling noise coming from the underside of my car could be the brakes? The only way i could describe the noise is if the exhaust was loose or there is a baking tray banging around! The exhuast is well fastened and all rubbers are intact. The heatsheild on the back box was loose but i have secured that now and the unknown rattle still persists! everything else is tight from what i can see. The brakes are a little sloppy and there is a slight wobble when slowing from high speeds but fine at lower ones, so im not sure if they could be linked? any advice is much appreciated :)

Was asked to put up some pics so here they are :) Purchased it on tuesday, intend to get a few things done, keeping it pretty standard though. Want to get the wheels refurbished/powered coated and the callipers, maybe anthracite colour but undecided yet. Could also do with a new back box as the tailpipe is quite corroded. apart from them and a few stone chips and a couple of car park dings shes cosmetically mint. :)

Hi My name is ollie and i have just purchased a blue IS200, v reg on tuesday. Must say i am loving the upgrade from my clio! Have a couple of issues with the car which im hoping someone can advise me on. I managed to get some money knocked off the price due to a rattle from under the car when going over bumps. Initially thought it may be deteriorated exhaust rubbers but they are all fine. Then noticed the heat sheild above the back box was loose so have secured that but still no cure! it sounds like its coming from under the drivers seat area. Any pointers are much appreciated!
