  1. Hi guys, hope all is well, it's been a while since I was last here, haven't been on the car scene for a few years now Just one question, which kit do I need to put aux in onto the original head unit as my cd changer does still work so no point changing the unit, just want to add USB and 3.5mm aux in I've seen 2 kits on ebay but one says 2004 onwards, the other says pre 2004 but not compatible with 6 disc units? Plug and play preferred cos I don't do snipping wires Car is non nav, 13906 unit (I think) Thanks in advance
  2. That was my initial thought, but there's another on ebay that matches my "odd" one, advertised as brand new never refurbished, just seems a coincidence
  3. Did they change at some point? Im in the process of collecting a full set of new original wheels, The spare in my car appears brand new, the back of the wheel has grooves all the way round, as does one of my others, (ie. feels bare) yet I have one that is also brand new but the back is painted and lacquered?
  4. My turn to join in on this, my car has also developed throbbing underfoot when braking, and wobbly steering, it also pulls very slightly to the left and theres a higher build up of brake dust on the right front wheel Im not even slightly mechanical there arent any reputable garages near me, i also painted the calipers 3 years ago and suspect this could be a factor, tho not entirely responsible, and the roads near me are shocking Chris you seem to have sorted yours reasonably swiftly but others havent, i have little option than to get toyota to carry out the work Do all dealers have the tool to measure run out (im not sure what that even means) Rory
  5. I used one from a standard centre cap on my grille
  6. The thread is about "dash cam" I took that to as including, but not limited to, wired installs, Apologies if you feel my input doesn't belong, but I disagree as it does the same job as most types of dash cam
  7. I have an app on my android phone called autoguard blackbox pro, cost £1.76 I think and does the job just fine :D
  8. getting aero corners for the standard front bumper means you can do what you want with the standard grille
  9. think LS fitment is 5 x 120 not 5 x 114.3 that you require, I could be wrong
  10. me too, mine has the sport kit on (aero front), but no sport badges, they belong on the 200 sport :)
  11. Hi, whats the cost to have a leaky shock replaced, and is it ok to just replace the leaky one or best to do both sides together?
  12. theres a pic on all of my posts, i'm assuming you are viewing mobile, open the page in a normal browser if u can
  13. u have to inform them as insurers require the statistic to bump up the premiums of those who don't claim :)
  14. originally when they were available I think they were only available pre painted in a selection of colours, and at a price of around £400 a pair, when they come up on ebay (once in a blue moon) they are around £100, hope that puts them into perspective, if you like them, spray them up and keep them, if not, and its only scratched paint, still worth too much for the bin I love the fact that I probably pass 10 other ISs each day to and from work and none look like mine from the front
  15. front bumper is standard with Aero corner Spats, those are even rarer :)
  16. apologies for being a little off topic, assuming someone is lucky enough not to need to use the spare and it sits in the boot for years, how often would you replace the tyre on it? ie how long do they last unused before going "stale"
  17. lol, thats not real is it, half an e class photoshopped on an S
  18. let me know if you get slapped with extra charges later, i'm thinking of getting one myself but not if I get hammered for customs charges later
  19. Assuming the garage is still trading in the owners absence they can still sort it and they need to cover the costs, don't be fobbed off by the other garage staff
  20. if you bought it from a garage take it back and ask for one that isn't lemon flavoured, or get a refund
  21. Thanks, yeh I keep saying im gonna sell it as I've just bought my first house but I can't bring myself to let it go
  22. I went to Nigel Langs Bolton, they had your settings and all is well, the improvement was instantly noticeable
  23. There was no stock of the f5300 anywhere and now that cat no doesn't exist, the other however is back in Stock, at 499.99, didn't take it any further as I still got a bargain anyway
  24. I had trouble with mine when I first got it, the bit around the screw cap is fairly flexible, mine just took a bit of mauling and messing with the spring to get it to function In short, I strengthened the spring by widening it a little, this made the actual outer flap not quite flush when closed, I then moved the flexible inner part where the release pin is so it sat a little further in
