    Help!

Had a prang yesterday and put a dent in the wing which I'm unable to pull out. Looking to change the car soon so this is not going to help one bit. Has anyone got, or know someone that has an IS200 Offside (drivers side) Platinum ice front wing for sale. Ideally the right colour as I don't want the hassle of getting it sprayed. Althogh if I can't find one the right colour this maybe my only option. Cheers in advance
  2. I just had a similar problem I was getting vibration when braking every now and then. Then we went toLondon about a 150 mile round trip and got very bad on the way home (worryingly bad!) When we got home the nearside brake assembly was really hot suggesting a seized caliper. So yesterday I took the caliper off and one of the pistons had seized. so I clamped the good one with a G clamp and pressed the brake pedal until the piston was about an inch out. Then sprayed a load of WD40 under the rubber protection boot then used another G clamp to work it back into the caliper. Repeated this a few times. Went for long drive this morning and the problem seems to have been solved :D The brakes not getting hot. Just got to replace the discs and pads now as it has warped the disc on the nearside.
  3. Well after some fault finding I've worked out its the long black lead that's causing the problem. I plugged the HU straight into the short cable that comes out of the OEM amp wiring plug and all works fine. So just waiting for a reply from the guy I bought it from and hopefully get a replacement.
  4. Ignition was off and the speaker was working fine this morning using the standard headunit. Now that you've said that I didn't plug the OEM HU back in to see if it was ok like that.
  5. Got my Autoleads fascia today and so decided to fit my Alpine headunit using the amp bypass lead. Plugged in and there was a small pop from the rear left speaker. When I turn the headunit on I get shockingly bad interferance from the rear left speaker only. Checked all connections and seem ok. Anyone else come across this when using the amp bypass lead? Need some help please as I'm scratching my head an coming up with nowt! Cheers.
  6. The plugs have been in there only 12K according to the paperwork I got. The last service was done at a Lexus dealer so I'm assuming they used OEM ones. Went out this afternoon and no problem at all. Perhaps it was just the weather causing the problem, it was very damp air this morning.
  7. Battery seems fine as it turned over OK with no hesitation or lack of life. It was turning over but just wouldn't fire until the 3rd attempt and then ran fine settling down on idle.
  8. Come out from work this morning and tried to start the car but failed to start. Took 3 attempts to get it started. Now the weather down here is very damp this morning, fine rain and foggy and I'm wondering if this is the problem. But on my ols IS I don't remember ever having starting problems
  9. I want to fit my Alpine HU ASAP in my new IS. Now I've searched on E-Bay and found this - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-is200-se-sport...203141003r15383 I this what I'm after? I know it says it's what I need but I'm just after some reasurance :winky: Also found the Autoleads fascia for £20 is this a good price? Thanks.
  10. Superb mate. How much you looking for it?
  11. Some boring bits first, needs a new set of plates. Gearknob neads changing, someone's put a horid leather one on it so will be sourcing an oem one as soon as. Needs a service too. First thing is some Eibachs as really liked them on my previous IS. Haven't really got the spare funds anymore to spend on this one like the old one so a bit at a time. I've been told this is to be a sensible family car But we have got a 350Z sitting in the garage as well which we have plans for B)
  12. Thanks for the welcome. Looking back at the pics of my old one not sure sometimes why I sold it. I spent a fortune on it Full Lexus bodykit Blitz rear spoiler (well spotted that man) cost me a fortune as I imported from Japan. HKS limited editon titanium rear silencer TDI (HKS) Induction kit Eibach springs 18" Alloys (can't remember the make) I did toy with the idea of supercharger and sometimes wish I had. But I have enjoyed my 2 Type R's. Got a few plans for the new one but perhaps not quite as far but we'll see :winky: This is my new one-
