  1. Ok have decided 4 degrees is about my maximum before having to take the car out of Eco Mode - can't believe the heating and fan speed difference when switched it to normal mode this morning! I would have liked a bit more heat in Eco mode, understand priority is keeping engine temp but it can get rather chilly! Still it's returning impressive mpg for cold start shortish runs, about double the mpg of the new Merc C200 had before.
  2. Very nice, congratulations! Guessing that is for 3 services? Just paid about £450 for a 2 services inc 2 x MOT service plan. Seems a good price if it's 2 x full service 1 x int, bit expensive other way around.
  3. Wasn't expecting any issues but for £495 on top of the CPO 1 year warranty got a full 3 years

    Mpg

53mpg is easy which for a petrol to me is impressive especially given the amount of kit it is lugging around like electric seats etc! Journey home when purchased was from North London to South lots of traffic but lovely day so no AC just window open was easy 60mpg. The car thrives around the 35-40 mph mark, gliding along with just batteries. Bet if you were on a flat straight road doing 40mph you could get near their figure (also varies quite a bit depending on the road surface - have noticed some new road surfaces are great, nice and quiet and the car hardly slows down coasting, other surfaces very noisy and quite brutal slow down)
  5. Has anyone used the Bridgestone Dueler H/L 33 over a winter period? How are they? Been wondering on the Pirelli Scoripon All season as very good pricing, anyone run them over winter? Will check out the Hanooks as well
  6. Only a waste of money if nothing goes wrong ;) That said you should be getting the Lexus Extended Warranty - for an RX over 5 years old it is £695 currently for 2 years, this also gives you breakdown cover as well - covers cars up to 10 years old, includes all the components including hybrid but there is a clause regarding multimedia which I think you can upgrade - have them checking for me as just purchased myself.
  7. Well finally bought one :) couple of bits to change / add that I noticed during my search: There was a March 2010 update to the SE-L Premier spec which is where ICE became standard before that it wasn't available. SE-L Premier models had a Adaptive Suspension option that replaced the Air suspension with a system that used electric motors to apply counter torque to the suspension when going round corners to reduce body roll. Thanks again for the list, it proved very helpful with my search!
  8. Just watched the new Lexus Info Video and they mention the Active Sound Control - did a search and big thread here: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/rc-f/752972-lexus-rc-f-to-employ-asc-active-sound-control-for-interior-cabin.html From stuff I have read it's a speaker in the steering column but hope I'm wrong and it's altering flaps in the exhaust like the ISF at 3,300 rpm ;)
  9. I really hope so, it was in one of the earlier reviews - tried to find it but couldn't track it down, a flap is perfect and just what a car like this should have! They may have been confused with the RC300h which probably will have a speaker. Guess not too long till someone gets one and can confirm either way.
  10. Yep button showing start new topic again, thanks!
  11. Just chuck in my 2 pence worth :) The engine is one of the major highlights of this car, the fact they stuck with a NA V8 is amazing and to significantly improve it's HP and Fuel Consumption with clever things like switching between Otto and Atkins cycle is great stuff, also keep in mind that the confirmed GSF is likely to use an even higher output version of this engine so don't think this is the car maxed out - I'm guessing a 500+BHP min The weight issues aren't so much from the quality just (IMO) some questionable design choices - for instance to get the best stiffness they used the IS CC middle section for the chassis, total overkill on a coupe (but might suggest there will be a convertible version?) and that stuffed it weight wise from the start, however there are some other little bits like adding a speaker to the steering column to pipe out fake noise like a BMW, I mean why? It has a wonderful sounding V8! To me the big hitter I think will be the new ISF - stick this engine in the IS and then see how it stacks up - the IS350 was already beating off BMW, Audi, MB etc in US :)
  12. Yep all signed in and making posts on other forums, just the NX one I can't - very strange!
  13. They shouldn't be that different, have most of the options available on the CT. Very wierd if they have removed it and made it dealer only for door locking.
  14. That would be wonderful thank you! also while you are here, any reason the NX forum seems to be locked for me? Can't start a new post or reply to any?
  15. Just if there were any specific changes at certain MY - for example on my RX300 we looked for the MY 2005 as they introduced Bluetooth as standard, on the ISF the 2010 got the LSD and HDD and the 2011 the DRL. If there were no real changes other than the Facelift then nice and easy :)
  16. Might be just me but can't reply to any posts or start a new topic?
  17. Now that's good to know.....really should take a trip over there and give it some. The ISF is limited to 167 mph
  18. Too late I know but the Mechanical LSD came in MY 2010 along with major update to HDD Audio Media system and Sat Nav including Bluetooth streaming, Gracenote CD ripping, DAB etc., you can tell a MY2010 by Blue ISF bit at bottom of steering wheel and the fact it will have DAB button on media console. The other major update over all the prod years was the MY2011 this got revised suspension, digital dash with big Rev counter, new steering wheel with metal inserts and sport button and DRL - this MY also lost the wiper blade heaters strangely After that you are looking at tweaks to suspension mainly for later MY
  19. Yep you can do it yourself, page from the manual: http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM48D66U/pdf/sec_06-02.pdf Default is when you shift out of P it locks the doors but can change and even have both I believe.
  20. All the current Lexus cars I have seen you can choose as follows: doors lock / unlock when moving out of park or have them lock at 5 mph. Would be very surprised if the 450h didn't have that - the CT200h has details in the user guide on how to set yourself.
  21. Tried to find some details but having trouble - anyone know what equipment changes there have been over the Model Years? Wondering if there is a specific MY I should look for (Talking RX450h)
  22. It's like taking a current ISF removing two doors and sticking in a load of weight (albeit with an extra 60hp) Strangley the bit that was all round praised on the ISF ( the brakes) saying that they were unbelievably good and stood up to track use is one of the bits they are saying is poor on the RCF - think the extra weight is just too much.
  23. They went toally overboard in the quest for stiffness that they seem to have totally forgotten about weight. Using the IS Convertible middle because it already had the bracing they required was insane imo - the extra weight that brougt along just was not worth it. If the rumours are true and they make an F version of current IS then thst should be vastly better.
