  1. Thanks Jamboo Called a dealer and he recommended 10w 40. All very confusing. My previous Audi's have all used the longlife VAG stuff. Looks like a trip to Costco is in order.
  2. Why do you want to top up your oil, when the level is normal? I'm sure some kind LOC member will take the time to check which oil you need as you are too damned lazy to do it yourself. Personally I would recommend 50% castor oil with 38% Cod liver oil and 11% oil of cloves with just 1% 50/200 used tractor oil. P.S. It worked in my old Trabant for over 12 minutes. Excellent - thanks for the advice. Helpful.
  3. After 5000 of enthusiastic driving I checked the oil this evening and its about half way on the dipstick between min and max. What oil do I need to use to top up and how much should bring it back up to maximum. Thanks in anticipation - I cant cope looking in the telephone book sized manual :duh:
  4. Hallo Folks. New here - have had my 250 SE auto with MM for nearly a month and after 12 years and 5 audi's I'm loving my new Lexus. However I need some help from you learn'ed lot 'cos I've spent too long trying to find the answer in the oversized owners manual and have comprehensivly failed. The car has the MM package and I would like to try and find how to set a default setting for the aircon, fan speed and direction of airflow. When I first collected the car everytime I started it the temperature, fan speed and direction defaulted to the last setting. ie. low fan speed, aircon on and 17 degrees. However I now find that everytime I start the car after a longish stop or it being left overnight the aircon is off, the fan is off and the cabin temp is set way higher than I want. I have to manually go into the climate function, select the aircon, select a fan speed and put the temp down to where I want it. Apologies in advance for being thick and I would welcome some help. Many thanks
