John Prescott took delivery of his new Skoda two days ago, but it was sent back to the dealership this morning..... .....after he discovered it wasn't made of cake.

from who's point of view though? hehe i might have to dig out the drifting NSX - especially now i've got it to handle. or even the porsche 914, kitted out with the 959 engine a running gear.... too many choices. Nodoubt though - will be interesting.

I prefer to turn off al the driver aids too. i dont use traction control, stability control, ABS or brake assist. I think this way, it teachesyou to be a better driver Any fool can throw a car around with all the aids on but you actually have to concentrate to get the things to do what you want with everything turned off. The NSX me and Sam put together is a N/A screamer with about 500hp and is a bitch to get round the circuits. Even with Sam's chassis dynamics and geometry knowledge (which in the game is almost perfectly realistic) its still alot of hard work. Not like the old days of Gran Tourismo when you'd simply put slicks on, deck the hell out of it try to initiate oversteer through power. If you did that with Forza 2, you wind up with a gravel trap picnic!

Dont let the graphics thing fool you Lee, it took me an absolute age to put the TDI logo together - only to realise that i'd done it wrong! I was led to believe (wrongly i might add) by a friend that you could overlay any pic you wanted. Seems you cant. Although, i was racing a guy last night who has Halo2 graphics all over his car. Theres no way he could have done it with the tools you're given. Unless i'm missing something..... P.S. Lee - did you get your package today?

Got around to takin some pics last night. The Golf and the NSX The geometry still needs doing on the NSX but she's getting there...

My golf drives like a dream. Sam and myself spent quite some time setting up the geometry to suit my 'tell the car - not ask the car' style of driving.

I've now finished my MK2 Golf 16V. transplanted the VR6 into it and turbo'd it too - also grafted in the AWD set-up. 638bhp! also altered the gear ratios to a top speed of 182mph..... money cant buy the brakes that i need! isnt there a way of saving your cars image online so others can view it? i've sorted some wiched graphics for it. PS Mat - I've built a Monster replica with the new proposed vinyl graphics!!!!

My gamer tag is 'ShaunElyJenkins' if anyone wants to add me. Both me and Sam@tdi have played this but have only scratched the surface. I have spent most of my time driving cars i've driven in real life - i can honestly say that the VW Golf 16V Mk2 is perfect in representation. Handling, looks, sound, reaction characteristics - they're all spot on. Sam says exactly the same thing about the Honda Civic Type-R. Even down to the Vtec details... The added bonus we had, was we were playing it on a projection unit so the screen was about 8 feet by 6 feet! Crystal clear too!

Here are two short video files taken of Ellz's car whilst it was on the dyno earlier in the week. They're not of any power runs but just some steady state tuning that Sam was doing. I'll be forwarding the pictures of the bumper mods to Ellz to post up.
