This topic has come up before here, and I've finally managed to capture a picture of the sat nav disply showing the location of a speed camera. In this case on the M4 coming in to London near Brentford. Speed Cam picture If I could work out how to insert a picture into the post, the it would display here... Jonathan

I had similar problem after disconnecting the battery. Sunroof didn't work either. Had to be reset by Lexus dealer when car was in for service.

Run your fingers down the gap between the backrests of the seats - my car squeaks after flattening and then raising the seats. This seams to introduce some tension between the leather of the seat backs. Running a finder down the "crack" appears to reduce it and stops the squeak!

Unfortunatley this is just about the only feature missing from the RX400h - lots of discussion as to why not have appeared on these and other forums. I've got used to it now, and just assume that when the warnibg light comes on we have about 30-60 miles left in the tank. Just like the old days really! Jonathan

Mine does this after the back seats have been folded flat and the put back again - running my fingers once between the gap cures the squeak!

... peversely the RX400h comes into it's own in town - the battery keeps kicking in and your MPG increases by 10-20% - only problem is that on batteries pedestrians can't hear you coming and don't get out the way!

Do you get the Trafficmaster info? My sat nav gets the feed of traffic & road works info - I can't remember how it's switched on but it just works. My car is an RX400 SE on a late 55 plate, the 06 model. It doesn't show all speed cams - just sometimes!

I don't know - they don't always show up! They may appear courtesy of the traffic information....

Hi Mark. Yes that's exactly how I am calculating it. SPT My RX400h slightly overstates the MPG compared with "true" method described above - however it seems to be within 5%-10% accurate. Perversely 34 mpg is achieved with city stop/start driving - whereas a blast down the motorway reduces to maybe 27 mpg - never been as low as 22 - is your right foot made of lead? ;-) Jonathan

Hi, I'm very happy with my £40K Bluetooth handsfree device aka RX400h - the only real issue is the sound quality reported by people at the other end of any phone call. Although I can here callers very clearly in the car, anyone I'm speaking to complains that I sound like a dalek and they can only hear every other word. Before I start trying lots of other handsets (mine is an O2 XDA Mini S) is this a generally problem? Thanks in advance for any responses or tips... Jonathan

Drivethedeal is not just a website - give them a call! When I was looking for my car I gave them a call - in the end wanted one sooner so bought used from a dealer - if you aren't in a hurry then you shouldn't have a problem with the 3-4 week lead time I guess. However, then you'll have to find a private sale of the RX300.

They claim the car will come from a main Lexus Dealer. UK spec etc. What worries me is why Lexus are selling at £5k off on internet sites. If it is selling well why do this and wreck our residuals. I had hoped that Lexus would avoid this sort of thing. My local dealer has a showroom and servicing that cost £8.5 million. How can he compete with internet sites with no great overheads and hefty discounts, presumably from Lexus direct as my dealer says he does not get the margins that internet guys are offering as discounts. All Drivethedeal is doing is finding a dealer who'll offer the best price - presumably in return for a small referral fee. If you called every lexus dealer and pushed hard I guess you should get a similar price.

My RX400 satnav seems to have a few special POIs called "Traffic Equipment" - didn't realise what they were until I passed a GATSO on the A316 near Twickenham.... They also show the London Congestion Charging Cameras. My car is a Jan 06 on a 55 plate with what looks like 2006 software. Do others have the same? Jonathan
