  1. Hi all, My wifes is250 is almost 3 years old. This week she had a recall on a fitting to the rear brakes. Carried out at Bolton Lexus, no problem. The wife's sister has an 06 plate is250 that had a recall for something related to the steering rack / column, albeit before she bought it. My query is, should my wife have had the steering related recall and the wife's sister a recall on this new rear brake problem? Many thanks.
  2. I'm 38, wife's 37.........she drives our 250 90% of the time. Graduated from the 200.
  3. Crisis averted. The RAC man has just been and fished a £1 coin out of the runner.
  4. The wife put the seat right back to hoover the footwell. The seat has now jammed fully back though the release mechanism appears to operate correctly. Anyone had this happen? The car is now stuck on the drive. My wife and I can't drive it with the seat right back. Could I ring up the RAC(3 years cover from new) to try and fix the problem?
  5. I'm not sure they've resolved all rattle issues on cars registered upto November 06. I have a 56 plate 250 that has a rattle somewhere near the centre speaker on the dash. It's going in next week.
  6. The general opinion is don't use Color Magic. It's a shame because short term, the results are superb, but the finish won't last more than a fortnight. I used to have an is200 in black with beige interior and it was a nightmare to keep clean inside and out as both showed every little bit of sh**e. I now have a 250 in black with black interior and, guess what..........it's a nightmare to keep clean inside and out. The black interior shows up more crap than the beige ever did.
  7. We'll all be driving with our lights on full time in a couple of years. My Webpage Who would have thought............Volvo, cutting edge.
  8. Hello all, I found the site whilst doing a search and think you have a great forum here. I am wondering if any of you have any experience with the Lexus service plan. I bought a used IS 200 a few years ago and signed up to this service plan for 3 sevices ( 60k, 70k & 80k). I used the the 60k voucher, no problem. A month or so before I was due the 70k service I traded up to the IS 250. I contacted Inchcape who run the plan for Lexus to trade my 70k & 80k vouchers for 10k and 20k vouchers for the new car, but Inchacape tell me the service vouchers are non transferable between vehicles. They are quite clear about this, however, I have a flyer that came with the original plan from Lexus stating that the plan can be switched from one car to another. I have contacted Lexus who have said, "we'll try and sort something out".......as though they are doing me some sort of favour. That was over a fortnight ago and nothing. Has anyone else got any experience with these transferable/non-transferable service plans?
