I have been told by Lexus that its the Air Con belt, thankfully I can still drive the car without it until I source a new one! They still haven't got tthe clip for my bonnet stay, thats nearly a month now!! Thinking about it now the air con was on when the squeal happened. Thanks all for your replies!

Sorry about the delay, work has been hectic!! Unfortunately I also needed a second person to hold the bonnet up as the clip that holds the bonnet stay to the bonnet broke and lexus still havent got the part in!! So I opened the bonnet and realised that theres a fecking belt missing!! I found the remains lying on the tray below the engine. The part number on the belt states 99364-30300, it is the closest belt to the fan, any ideas which belt it is?

Hi folks hope you can help me with this, I was driving to work this morning when what sounded like a fan belt squeal started and as soon as it fininshed a large puff of white smoke came out of the back, the car is an 01 is200 sport with 73k miles. The car currently has a full lexus service history. Any ideas what could have caused this? A worried is200 owner. Mark

Thanks for the warm welcome :D Thought I'd update this, I've had the car a week now and love it, I had a S14 200sx a couple of years ago and it's great being back to rwd. :) Ordered the TRD kit from the local dealer, £600 all in, thats sports grille, front skirt, rear skirt and side skirts! Think I done alright Also got a HID kit and Eibach springs from the local Halfords. The HID's and grille are now on and the springs and kit should be fitted at the start of next week hopefully :) I'll get some before and after pics up asap Mark

Hi folks, I bought myself a 01 IS200 sport last week, I've set of Eibachs -30mm now sitting in my garage :). From reading through this forum I see that alot of you recommend getting the Geometry setup. My problem is I live in Northern Ireland and don't really know where I should go to get it done! I've a mate who is a mechanic and he's willing to see what he can do, is anyone willing to supply the measurements? Also, whats the best ARB kit to get? Thanks for all the help :) Mark

Hi there, Im Mark from outside Belfast, Northern Ireland and have just bought a 01 IS200 in Platinum Ice (pretty fancy term for silver lol) Looking foward to reading up on what all I can accomplish with my IS, short term goals are the TTE/TRD kit, if anyone can tell where to get the cheap? :D and then probably after a year or 2 I'll s/c it.
