  1. No, there isn´t a interrelation. The D-CAT don´t need a special oil for DPF-filter-engine. You can check this in a latest service sheet of TOYOTA/LEXUS (original).
  2. Please can anybody tell me about the problem with "Head Gasket" and "high oil consumption"? What´s the reason, that NOT EACH D-CAT motor have got a problem with this issues (what´s the reason of the head gassket issue? What´s the assembly-failure?), also when it´s produced in 2005 until 2007? (My IS ist build early 2006 with 100.000km without problems - still, but i´ve fear) Thanks a lot....
  3. Can anybody tell me about the problem with "Head Gasket" and "high oil consumption"? What´s the reason, that not each D-CAT motor have got a problem with this issues, also when it´s produced in 2005 until 2007? Thanks a lot.
  4. My IS220d runs 3500rpm with 240km/h... (have you got a IS220 sport?) My best friend have got a new (2010)AUDI with CR 2.0TDI 170hp and the engine ist more noisier then the engine in the LEXUS (the noise from road also). His old AUDI with 1.9TDI was MUCH more noisier than his new AUDI with CR. And an ML sound system isn´t far away behind AUDI or BMW. Never ever! My (car) fuel consumption on the last weekend (500miles on highway (70-80mph) and extra urban): 6,7l/100km.
  5. So what... 240km/h isn´t also a problem for a IS220d, i´ve hit 250km/h with wheel dimension 225R17 and 260km/h with a tuning-box. And a 140hp-Audi isn´t faster on the road in real life... and hav´nt got a chance on german autobahn. But in the Audi you have much more noise from road and engine, but the fuel consumption is realy worse... ca. 0,5-1l/100km more then Audi. Now my IS220d has ca. 70.000 miles on his meter...with comsumption of 47 - 37,5mpg... My last car was a VW PASSAT TDI with ca. 120.000 miles on the meter...and often i go by curent Audi TDI...
  6. Can i get more information about the clutch release mechanism and how it´s to adjustment please? Have yout got a paper with detailed informations? Thanks a lot
  7. I think, you musst press every button (of windows) of every door and the windows must from down to top. Then your buttons of the driver-door will be working...
  8. Have you got testet this cleaner? http://www.liqui-moly.de/liquimoly/produktdb.nsf/id/e_5168.html
  9. I think, the reason of your high consumption ist a dirty "pipe for the measurement of the pressure difference" (DPNR-Cat). Than, the Motor-ECU is thinking, the DPNR-Cat ist full loaded and use the 5th injector for cleaning the cat. You can clean it, but the cause of this problem must be also removed. There are a modified DPNR-Cat available. It has different connections of the "pipes for the measurement of the pressure difference" of the DPNR and it should not plugging anymore. And, it´s also a modified 5th injector (fifth atomizer) available.
  10. In my opinion, there isn´t a problem with "coke injectors". But you schould clean the intake between EGR and "intake-valves" an the valves itself.
  11. Hello Delta1, my IS220 (also long gear ratio) runs very well for a IS D-CAT. But he takes also 7 - 8 seconds in third gear. When the temperature is about 27°C, then the ECU reduce the power and the "flat spot" will be bigger, you can feel it until 1700rpm and about 4000rpm. It´s normaly and a "wish" from the engineers of TOYOTA.
  12. Has been everyone testet the following product without demounting the intake or egr? http://www.liqui-moly.de/liquimoly/produktdb.nsf/id/e_5168.html
  13. It´s the same engine like AVENSIS, but it´s not the same gearbox (different ratio). When you change the exhaust, there is no difference in point off using the 6th gear... Grüsse aus Deutschland....
  14. @ ROB Have you got more information about this problem? What´s the partnumber of this (rear anti roll bar link)? thank you
  15. http://www.lexus-tech.eu/toms_cabs/EN/8K3E-482.pdf best wishes from germany :winky:
  16. hey... THE MOLE is back do you know (detailed informations) about the "...rear diff mount..." upgrade/change for the IS220d (for less vibrations in the 6th gear)? There is a fix... but i havn´t no further infos about it :duh: What´s the service-number and the difference?
  17. Can you give me the reference-, serial-, versionsnumber (maybe the part-number on the order for the garage) of this update please?
  18. Can anybody give me please the reference-number of this "ECU-remap" ? Because, i ask my dealer (and LEXUS-germany) an he doesn´t know about this "Motor-ECU-upgrade", and now i will ask him with detailed informations (example the "reference or serial-number" or a other detailed description) Thanks
  19. Hello, can anybody give me the "ref-number" of the MOTOR-ECU-upgrade (for better manners and earlier torque of the engine :winky: (wich is available in UK since mid-february) meantime? Thank´s
  20. Hello, i come from germany and i read here in this topic about an upgrade for the Motor-ECU of the IS220d (" mole" says, it´s available since mid-february in UK). My questions: 1. Is it an update (software) or an switch of the ECU? 2. Can give anybody more details of this upgrade? The describtion, ect. (version-number...) Background: There is no dealer in dark-germany, there know anything about an upgrade, also LEXUS-GERMANY don´t give further information about it. :tsktsk: And so, i will ask my dealer directly, but i need more information (version....) Thanks a lot
