  1. sounds like you bought the one i managed to find. the bloke never came back to me now says the door has gone !
  2. dont suppose you found 2 ? how much did it cost you ? Sounds like we are after the same thing. It is actually a metal frame (with a stainless steel inner frame rivetted on) and is bolted to the door. The rivets have come adrift on mine so the outer black part no longer sits in place properly. If you pull the window seal down around the top or back edge you will see the stainless inner frame). I have had no luck fixing mine and have just sourced one from a breakers. Tried the whole door root but they keep quoting for a "bare" door so I've actually no idea if the frame would be on there if I bought the door. Plus if it is bare, there is nowt extra of any use that makes it worth while buying the whole door :(
  3. front offside door, It is the black plastic surround that goes round the window frame area, hold the rubber weather strip in place. I am having a problem with my camera so no phot - will see if i can borrow one next week
  4. my 1996 GS300 has the door trim /window seal cracked allowing the trim to pull away from the window. This means i get constant wind noise even with the window closed. it is also starting to leak how do i glue this, have tried the usual super glue, araldite etc with no luck. Lexus dont stock the replacement anymore. Anyone got a spare ?
  5. I have a '96 GS300 with an insert pasted in the handbook for this.... Appears the remote keyfob is £70 plus programming from a dealer (i didnt get the key fob) Mine mysteriously decided to arm itself and now activates everytime I open a door. the dealer says the ECU is mounted behind the glovebox. I cant find the ECU despite removing the glovebox. So now I just settle with the hazards flashing !! I pulled the plug on the siren. Can you email the dimensions - and a photo if possible please. KEV
  6. if its a MK1 you should find it under the front offside corner (behind the headlight are) Access is really simple - 3 10mm bolts for the dust cover then it is in full view. Hardest problem was getting up the ramps without scratching the front spoiler !! I am too old and fat to squirm under without those............
