  1. It looks like this problem is getting bigger by the day :o . I have had my IS220 for 6 months and put 25k on the clock in this time the VSC warning lights have come on 4 times. The first time was put down to dodgy fuel, the second time was a faulty sensor, the third time the ECU and 5th injector was replaced. This time the light came on I phoned the dealer and was told to get it recovered back to my local Lexus dealer(all other times I was told to drive it in). This was done to make sure Lexus technical got involved as the dealer had done every thing possible to fix the car. I was given a golf to drive (delivered to me at work)for 2 days until a top spec GS300 was available. The dealer has been excellent throughout this recurring fault and have always given me good cars until my one was fixed (4 days was the longest to-date). I have now told them that I want a car that actually works correctly even if this means a replacement car and will keep you all informed if I get any info ;) . I am gutted the car keeps failing and hope they find a permanent fix ASAP (although I never need to wash and clean it as Lexus keep it clean)
  2. I have a SE 220d that was new in December 2006. At first the car was returning 34 to 36mpg :duh: on the run to work. This run is 60 miles split in to 14 miles of B roads-40 miles of motorway then 5 miles of slow town roads( up-to 90mph on the motorway-60ish on the B roads and 30 to 40 in town ) This has gone up slowly as the miles have piled on (17k now) and was up to 39mpg when the VSC light came on for the third time. Lexus have now replaced the ECU and fitted the 5th injector and the MPG went straight up to 44.9mpg :D . This can be improved if I drive with care but that 180bhp rush is addictive!. I have driven all the alternative cars in this class and I can say I made the best choice without doubt. Hope it helps and good luck.
  3. I have a 220D on a 56 plate it now has 11,500 on the clock. MPG is slowly going up and has now got to 35mpg, I did get it to show 44 by driving like Miss Daisy but whats the point in having 180bhp and not using it all. :D
  4. Hi I have a 56 Is220d SE with 11,000 on the clock and the VSC warning lights have come on. Lexus say that tha car is ok to drive for the next few days untill they can have a look. Is this right and is there a quick fix I can do my-self?
