i have got a black 99 gs300 sport and last night someone showed how much they liked it with there key. it is only about a foot long but deep and on the rear quater so would take alot to spray. i is goin to use a touch up pen but have not done so b4 any good pointer on how to make look abit better?

the belt u need can be brought from a euro car parts shop as is the same as a alfa 147 fan belt. but only one year of it i think? the size of which is a 800 pk or something like that. sure someone else can confirm the belt size

i did notice a difference but not massive. makes it feel like your out on a very cold night all the time. but i think u have just got yours so that prob wont help u much lol

Yeah, that's what I mean. I really don't think it should be there, but I don't know what's causing it. The supercharger pulls really nice, so it's definitely working. Might be the belt or bearing, even the pulley to tension the belt has a bearing in it :D That would be easy to test. I will lubricate the tensioner first thing tomorrow :) Thanks mate I haven't really thought about it. I only floor the pedal when I'm already in higher revs and the whistling sound isn't present. But shouldn't the bypass valve be completely opened until you put your foot down? I'm pretty sure my valve opens and closes as it should. I just tightened the belt this morning, but I will certainly lube the tensioner tomorrow :) Haha! Yeah, that would be something :D I'm hoping to be able to join you at JAE this summer :) could mean stuck closed yeah lol

i think it mite mean the supercharger return value is stuck open. i got mine catch on a jublie chip and sounded like that. does it sound ok when your foot is down?

can get a gs300 for under a grand but all gs and is300's r auto's so would have to get a gearbox from a n/a supra

if u go to halfords and get a toyota to standard head unit cable u will find it matches two of the plugs from the amp apart from on the smaller plug it has two extra wires which 4 the sub. hope that will help u

i have just fitted a alpine dvd head unit which runs all the door speakers and have used my genesis profile 2 to run the standard sub and the sound is tops. i have done 2k installs in previous cars with alpine type r subs,genesis and infinity perfect components. yes the bass was much better but the matchin of high mid and low frequency was no better and with the standard tweeters being of a high quailty it would be hard to find a better replacements. so unless u r really wantin to skake your windows out just fit a good head unit and a small amp to run the standard sub and you will be well happy.

on the is200 i used the wires for the rear speakers to amp the fronts rather than running new wire from the boot so it worked ok cuttin the wires but my prob with the gs is i dont know where to start. if the amp is in the headunit or external? size of the sub ? there r no plug and plays wires on ebay at the mo for the gs if there was it would be great cos im not doin no big install in this car cos i have kids now and my boot is needed for more than speakers. if there is a old post about this somewhere that someone can find would help me out alot thank u.

hi i was wondering how hard it was to do? i used to have a is200 sport and had to spend a long time cutin wires from the amp and findin what speakers went to each wire. is this the same with the gs ?

mines on 147k and still all good. i think the better question is how many miles has it taken 4 someone to of killed a IS engine
