  1. the blue wire is a remote power lead to turn the amp on and should be connected to the remote on the HU. The amp needs to be earthed to the chassis, u can use the ring type fifing pointsin the boot but sand down the area underneath first to get a good connection. the sub should be wired toone of each of the +ve on left channel and -ve on right or vice versa..
  2. The zenec are good units. they wont have the SQ of the higher end units but they are good and not to be confused with the cheap rubbish of ebay. IIRC they orginally dod OEM units and moved into aftermarket units.. This seems to be the best price on this unit.. zenec ze nc250 One thing to bear in mind is that the centre channel need sto be powered by an external amp but there is a very small one that bassjunkes that i can t see on there website. Pm if you want one and i will give em a call..
  3. sorry mate, only just picked up your voicemail!! im back down next week..
  4. Excellent thanks for your help mate. Ive removed the amp now but the wiring is still there so i can connect the power lead from the camera to the remote wire on the audio connectors going to the amp. I don't have a multimeter to test the electrical connections as of yet. The desired end result i'm hoping for is to get the camera switched on whenever i switch to reverse gear. Having to press the nav button for a sec is still brilliant, but would really prefer the automatic switch over. So in summary what would be the complete wiring you would suggest for this? I would really appreciate a dumb proof list of connections! Im in Harrow in North West London....Would you be able to get there, i will be working until around 7 though, is that when your around? If so, send me a PM for details Thanks again ! you may be in luck mate.. im prob in harrow tomorrow evening.. i will pm you my number so you can all me when you finish work..
  5. use an ign live like the remote switch from your HU to the amp and ground to the same point as your amp. to test, put a multimeter across thgis when the HU is on to ensure your camera is getting a live feed. if you press and hold the nav button it will switch to the camera input. if it works then the fault is at the reverse switch in the footwell, it may be a bad connection which is possible if using scotchlocks (this happened to me too!!) if it doesnt then the camera is possibly faulty.. where in london are you as im there tomorrow.. @monster mat:nice HU >>Kenwood DNX5240bt..

  13. Alpines work with the bypass lead without any problems. I have fitted two in IS's and Aaron has one also, all with the bypass lead and iirc wozza also used this without problems. If youhave had to wire back to the battery then there is either a prob with the unit or the wiring. Alpine would not build a unit that required extra work over the others, would lose them sooo much market share. There is no probem with wiring a fused spur to the battery but it is a lot of extra work that you shouldnt need. all you need is the bypass lead and the facia kit...
  14. i also have the vibration in 6th gear, same as yours.. its worse with the short shifter. havent got round to asking the question yet on here so will watch with interest to see if there are any soloutions..
