I must be one of many few lucky 220d owner who hasnt have much problem with the car yet, i did test drive both the 220d and the 250, if i had more money at the times i would have gone for the 250, but since i never had a diesel before, and also want to lower the running cost, that how i went for the 220d (then the damn fuel prices went throught the roof....), its almost 2 years old now, only done 3087 miles, and atm its do 38.9mpg avg and 41.3mpg tank avg (without the 5th injector recall), its not a perfect car, gear box for a start, also the the vibrating rear view mirror (my do it but not too bad),stone chips on bonnet and front bumper already, but even with those problems i still love the car, it had all the things i wanted, and i will enjoy driving it when ever i can, and would i buy another one? of course i will..... :) :) :) :)

But i got the IS220d not for Speed..... :whistling: :whistling: hehe :P :P

Hi guys, my IS220d is coming up to it 20,000 miles service soon (even thus i only had 3000 miles on the clock), as this is a full service, can someone tell me how much it cost when you had it done, so i can compare or ask my dealer to price match, any information will be grateful, thank in advance Regards Tony

Had my 220 done this morning by cappuccino tints leeds, done in 2 hours £200 done on site so no running about tel 07976740669 Hi Matey, just wonder did they need to take the rear windscreen off to do the tints or did they take the pacel shelf apart to do the rear windscreen?

I been told by some of the experts here that black c**p comes out of the exhausts on diesel cars, that why they have exhausts pointing downward, i have done 40 miles since i had the new exhaust fitted, no problems yet with black c**p, and i dont mind clearing the bumper even if the exhaust make it dirty, since i wash the car everytimes i been out with it... :whistling:

1/ like PLEWIS said you can dial if you store the numbers in Speed Dial. 2/ this is a safty feature that appear on most if not all Sat Nav and in car Dvd system, factory fitted or after market. 3,4,5/ the Lexus Sat Nav system is not perfect, but i can say its the best i had the chance to use compare to others.

Hi guys, just came back from Darlington after getting a custom exhaust make for my IS220D, and it look and sound great, dont have any problem with the stuffs that came out of the exhaust yet, done 40 miles and the rear bumper and the exhaust still pretty clean... :D :D :D :D another mod done....roll on to the next...when i can afford it... :crybaby:

Thank Guys, i have though about going to Tint-R, but its a long way for me, 2-2 1/2 hours drive down to Nottingham, but if they are good i may still go down there, but it wont be for a while, just spend the money on a powerflow exhaust instead today.... :whistling:

Anyone know a good window tint company in the Yorkshire Area? a good one that able to deal with the IS220d, as i search the topic, it seem that the rear pacel shelf may need to be taking apart, or the rear windscreen need to be taking out to do the tinting for the IS220d/IS250, so need a good company that know what they are doing, sorry for asking for help again guys....
