Thanks, I searched once, but didn't find anydthing. I'll dig into it a little bit more. How does the fact that my Mileage indicator is reading way off?? charley

Hello All Sorry to ask for help on the first post, but......My 02 IS 300 has an error code of PO 440 "Evaporation Emission control system Malfunction". It has 70k miles, now radiator, timing belt, water pump, it runs good. My mechanic friend thinks it has something to do with the blue "PCV" valve which is close to the firewall. Also, my mileage indicator is reading abnormally high MPG since the engine light has been on. I have replaced 1 02 sensor as well. Any ideas? Should I brignit to the dealer? Thanks in advance. Hello All New to the board, but in need of a little help. I've got an engine code error, and can't seem to find where to start a new topic, so I am kind of derailing this one a little. My error code is "PO 440" "Eevaporation Emission control system malfunction". It's not the gas cap. I have just had the water pump, radiator and timing belt replaced. Everything runs fine. My mileage indicator guage is reading abnormally high though. Lexus just wants me to bring it to the delership. It's a 02 IS 300 with 70k miles. Any help would be appreciated. charley
