  1. So is it good practice to lose the rear speakers if you have decent front and sub?
  2. Dame u got me! I thought it was going to be that picture of that snake with its fangs stuck in the electrical fence.
  3. I would just buy the silver badge and spray it gold and then laquer it....job done.
  4. WD40 is used to repel water, should not be used as a form of lubrication.
  5. People who are not registered with friendster can't see them. People like me. Personally i use photobucket for hosting my images, its very simple.
  6. Every time Stav opens his mouth i end up adding another item to my wishlist!
  7. Thats some crazy bass. I mean i don't think any girls will go near a car that messes their hair up like that lol! For those who can't find the clip where the girl's fake eye falls out is .
  8. Make sure you get the ones that are priced around £25-30, as there have been cheap knock offs floating about.
  9. £500 is not really enough for the setup, unless you went for all 2nd hand stuff, which is always a risk. I think over the year i've spent roughly £400 on secondhand stuff when i see it. I've got one last amp for my sub to go which is going to be the most expensive single item for my setup. You mention that rear speakers should be taken out? Would that be in my case if i have Alpine SPR-17s fronts and 10" Type X sub? At the moment i have Pioneer TS-A6921 380w rears? I'm still looking around for the amp for my 10" type X sub, been looking at hifonics and jl audio like you said, but what about vibe, say Vibe Blackbox 5 Mono Amp. Are they a good solid purchase?
  10. Mintex are less dusty than OEMs or whatever you currently have. Also if you're getting dusty wheels its a sign of a seized caliper. Are they dusty on both side or just one and also do the calipers get hot after a 10 minute drive etc
  11. If i'd had a choice it would have been pearl white.
  12. Ouch, soon as i see birdpoo on my car i wipe it straight away before it causes any damages. Being a black lexus any dullness will stick out like a sore thumb. Not sure what you can do if the paint has started to crack, otherwise i would have suggested T-cutting it as a last resort.
  13. Looking forward to images of the show, but please................. Less of these..... And more of these...
  14. I live too far away, as usual...
  15. I hate it when kids pour flour on my tyres!
  16. Stevie, sorry to spoil your happy day, but you got the struts wrong way round lol, the gas barrel section should be at the top. If you check the images i posted you will see what i mean. HERE
  17. leave the car, then lock the car using one key press at the fob, then after a few seconds use the key at the driver lock to open the door. The alarm should go off.
  18. Right, in this case i will put it on hold until i know what im doing lol
  19. I'll be doing this soon (just the footrest). At the moment only seen 2 circular caps that looks like it comes off, but will do this maybe this weekend.
  20. Bonnet struts next? Also you will have to tape the hose for the window washer under the bonnet as theres no holes for the clip (unless you fancy drilling a hole into the carbon bonnet lol) and make sure you close the bonnet the correct way....lower it slowly until its touching the slam panel/bonnet catch, then push down to close it, as the part that catches the bonnet release hook is very weak...i ended up cracking mine and i decided to file it off completely.
  21. Yep, might as well get it all done for peace of mind! No point having a new belt only to keep the old tensioner/idler and later find out they also need changing few months down the line. You will also end up paying the labour again for the work that could have been done in the first place.
  22. Thats about right price for parts and labour. At prolex the belt is £30, but you will also need to replace the tensioner (£57)+idler (around £30). Add up the sums and it'll be around £120. Cheapest on ebay is £75 for belt, tensioner, idler (Item number: 180346539176), but thats pickup only. Others are around £110 inc delivery for all the bits and bobs. If the garage charges you £120 for it all, make sure it's genuine lexus/toyota and not other makes like unipart for that price. On a different note, the web designer of that site needs to be shot, why link (637 by 457) images into the website, only to resize them to a thumb nail size (100 by 80)? Thats really bad practice, plus the fact theres like 29 of these all trying to load at once.
  23. Two amps is a good setup, one 4 channel amp and 1 mono amp for sub. But as your component speakers are so expensive, wonder if its worth having it's own amp to power them lol. That's the most expensive front speakers i know of. Bet they sound amazing with the right amp.
  24. Didn't think you can even buy them anymore, maybe not in UK thou.
