i have not had a key for years ,always use a set of long nose pliers and open them the wrong way into the key holes .prob depends on how tight yours are done up though but i have never had a problem . -
If it is just surface rust then you have answered your own question ,just give it a rub down and paint it with a good metal paint .good luck and welcome .

not sure if anyone can help but for the last couple of weeks the pointer for my mouse moves on its own .it is a usb wireless mouse . worried i might have a virus on the system .

i would always change the tensioners as well as the belt and would think lexus would do this as part of the course of doing the belt ,as for how long ,its a bit of a how long is a piece of string question as you can never tell .sure you will be ok. when you do the tensioners you might as well do the belt again as well .

would imagine a one off ,but why not get it checked out just incase .sure it is fine though as with most noises you would know something was wrong .

Not bad here in kent just some slight flooding today on the motorways ,took van out and as it drives like a boat anyway had a pretty good trip .real shame about that poor bloke who got caught clearing his drain .

mileage problems are very common , when you think you are asked for the mileage at tyre changes ,services,mot's,tax renewal etc.it is very easy for someone to put down the wrong number or sometimes just round up the figures for example 79,555 can be put down as 80,000 .got to be honest i did it myself today when getting tax online for my van i just rounded up the number because i was not with my van at the time .put down 105,000 and its around 104,000+ .the problem arises when i go and get tyres in the next few days and the bloke who fits them puts in the exact mileage thus making a mileage discrepancy with HPi

What is the box stuck to the screen? Why do most of the cars pull over to let him/her past? "Official" car maybe? Also agree with Anees it don't sound like a diesel and the revs sound way too high for an oil burner. I did wonder this to .seems strange as most peoples reaction to someone doing that is to sit in the fast lane and not move . he has done another one click here .

got to be a valve somewere as bazza said .can you see any valves next to your cylinder they usealy are in a square metal box with a electrical wire going to it .probaly have two of them .

When you say roof damage do you mean its been on its roof or kinked due to front damage .

see what you are saying matt all be it lexus profit margin was considerably higher in my post roughly £300 quid .just stating that this happens every day in the real world .someone buys something and sells it on for a profit .but as i said i see your point

to be honest i could do with a change ,got another baby on the way (due in 3 months)and the Lexus although in A1 condition (apart from needing a good valet)is starting to look dated .also would like something with more safety features ,airbags,traction etc.also really begrudge giving ten pound to the government in tax every time i go down the road in fuel .that's not to mention the high insurance group (18) the cost of the tyres etc .not doing myself any favours here selling it am i .Did i mention the boot is only big enough for an umbrella and a briefcase
