  1. To be honest there are far better diesel cars out there CAT `D or not......steer clear of it.....BUT if you do want to buy it inspect every last detail of the car with a fine tooth comb..and make sure all that was replaced HAS been replaced and not just covered up...... also i would get someone like WIM to get the car up and have a full chassis check before you buy it as who`s to say there isnt anything dodgy going on with the chassis....?????> And if its front end damage and the rad got smashed and all the gubbings who`s to say the engine didnt over heat..? Buyer beware...!!
  2. Same here...when i had my IS200 i had terrible inner tyre wear...then found Tony @ WIM he put the new chassis settings on the car and since then ive NEVER had tyre wear problems... :) i think its either that you have hit many potholes and the chassis settings have been thrown out of allignment or there is another reason why this is happening..... ;) Tony is a top bloke and i think the offer that he has given you is more than fair and a testament to the service and dedication he gives to all of us at LOC and also many other forums...... :)
  3. Yeah i was gonna say...Go down the pub... :D I dont do strictly or X-factor.....i`d rather go out n about...
  4. Hi mate the IS200 sport has a TORSEN LSD......
  5. I dont see why you would need one.?? is that what the balancer shaft is next to the engine ( to make the engine more balanced and smoother..?)
  6. If the cars not covered in mud etc and just dust....just use some detailing spray and microfibre cloth/towel to clean it up/off and then aply the second coat of wax... always worked for me and the best thing is the detailng spray and microfibre doesnt leave any swirl marks or scratches on the paint before you re-apply the wax... :) Cool, will have to get a detailing spray then :) Always think I should clear out the garage so I can do it, but can never be bothered! yeah you have great ideas about going out doing the full monty to your car with lotions and postions and when it comes to it you think..........NA cant be bothered.... Must admit it would be a darn site easier to have a garage to do it all..... :D

  8. Yes mate once you have done one coat of collinite 476 leave it 24hrs then apply a second coat...
  9. Blimey thats very cheap for 4 brand new callipers.!!!...does work out better than refurb then...!?
  10. Could you not get some new slide pins and ( if you need them ) new piston kit..and get a local mechanic to fit them..? would still work out alot cheaper than buying brand new callipers mate...
  11. I dont think it would look bukier...thinner i would say by the time its been compressed against the car/skirt....which if that is the case then just double the thickness of the tape up. Ill see what i can do and try get some pics up when its done hopefully i can find somewhere with similar/same rubber seals 1st tho lol Why dont you ring up some toyota dealers...?
  12. Do a "search" at the top of the screen.....just type in detailing, polishing, cleaning products etc....
  13. Read this thread from P.Lindblom he has a brand new one...maybe PM him and see if you could buy it of him.???? http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...p;hl=new+engine
  14. It sounds like to me that i could be a loose heat shield under the car ( so when you rev and slow down it vibrates/rattles OR it could be you baffles in your back box ( exhaust )

  16. Fook me thats alot of sexy motors ,and alot of **"Bling"** and $$money$$ Love the Nissan 350Z....
  17. Your best bet is to get some very strong 3M double sided foam tape ( should be able to buy it in a roll ) this should be ok for the TRD skirts etc......
  18. When i had Pirelli Pzero rosso`s on my IS200 ( styling kit alloys 225/40/"18" ) i had them on the back running 35 psi and set to WIM settings never had the problem with the middle tread being worn out more than the edges...i must say it does tend to look like over inflation...
  19. I would say by the sounds of it its warped discs...when you changed the disc`s did you clean the hub surface ..? as if you have raised surfaces on the hub the disc wont sit flat ( they are floating disc`s )and can cause warped disc`s coz of the heat built up etc when braking
  20. Blimey thats a right touch..totaly brand new then. :D ....how about you save some money up and get forged internals etc ( do it as a project ) and turbo it or supercharge it like yours but with more boost etc....then when you have finished implant it in your IS200....doesnt matter how long it takes... :D Is this the Beams engine used in the Altezza.?
  21. Or the bearing will get so damaged and hot the bearing itself will seize up completly....
  22. Right the problem that everyone is saying about is the metal clips that hold the pads in the calliper housing what happens is over time some longer than others the metal clips become weak or slack and no matter if you go over bumps in the road, over pot holes, turning to park up left or right...you still get that metal "clonking noise" Now all you do is 1.either buy a new set of metal retaining clips for your pads( if they are broken or missing ) .........OR 2.take the pads out and the metal clips and gently pull the centre part of the clip up or out (you will know what i mean when you take the pads and clips out) ( also be very carfull not to break the clips ) Once finished gently push or tap the pads back in and hey presto the noise will have gone as it holds the pad more tightly or firmer in the callpier housing..........for the time being i might add...you may need to do this a couple of times in a few months..... takes no more than twenty-30 mins either side including taking wheels of etc....
  23. 45 bhp increase...look to spend 3-4k not $8...
