No they dont Solhatt only the IS300 had HID xenon lights fitted as standard....I have a 2005 plate IS200 and that only has normal bulbs BUT have fitted aftermarket HID`s and they are such an improvemnet over the "standard bulb" It could be different spec cars in norway but the uk has IS200 s IS200 se IS200 sport IS200 LE All normal bulbs IS300 HID xenon lihgts. Thats a rough guide to UK cars as i say not sure on cars in/sold in norway. i have a 2004 is200 LE and it has hid,s fitted as standard ! Yeah you are right i forgot about the HID`s on the IS200 LE.....me dumb...

  6. Nice looking car matey... Aftermarket HID`s arent actually legal BUT i have them fitted and ive not failed an MOT or been stopped by the police for haveing them...and also OEM HID`s have different lens covers i think.. I.E different reflections ...? The only way you can get around your problem ( not being able to do mods etc) would be to fit some IS300 lights but you will have a problem not being able to fit them (you have to do slight modifications to the wings i think.as the IS300 has a slightly different front end.)
  7. I would say MR Clutch/cowboy havent alligned it up .
  8. This will kinda cheer you up a bit.... all im gonna say is this was my previous IS200...in the snow+ice downhill..doing 20mph like the car had ice skates on.!!!!.AND it hit a lamp post.!.well just look at the pics.... :shutit:
  9. Ouch.! :duh: That is defo a write off nothing left of the front end....this was at 30mph.? mmmm bit more than that me thinks. :shutit:
  10. Congrats beautifull looking car. When i was in Lexus Hatfield i had a look at one..it was in Messa red it looked amazing...just hope i get my numbers come up.! :D
  11. Check that the wheel nuts are tightened to the correct Torque settings its about 110 Nm i believe ..i think its in the knowledge section on LOC Or check that the HUB itself is not warped...
  12. Sorry for the accident and the loss of your car... another dead lexus....if you are the named driver on the policy then you should be covered under fully comp BUT if you ar NOT the named driver of the policy just an add on so to speak i dont think you will get a bean from the crash....i could be wrong. Sounds like it could get a bit messy....
  13. Looks mint agreed but surely it is well overpriced in the current market.....plus it's a Series 2 and he wants a Series 1. Yeah it is but you can always negotiate....AND yes i know he wants a mark 1...i was just commenting on the GS in general... :winky:

  15. Shouldnt be a problem just make sure its not something that cant set on fire.!!! use a piece of sheet metal... :)
  16. Nice looking motor that one..but there is no Lexus dealership in St albans..theres only one in Hatfield..... If i had the money and got a plane ticket to scotland i would seriously consider buying this one on pistonheads looks mint http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1186263.htm
  17. I would say get a battery tester first...OR a new battery (the cells could be dead or dying) or alternator,or bad earth ....
  18. Is there no way you could put something behind it like another piece of metal like a piece of tin etc..to tighten/pack the shield up a bit.... seeing as its still vibrating even after tightening it up.?
  19. Either a scooby WRX or STI.....if i cant find a good one then prob be a cheap run about for time being... Oh and the car will be for sale on here in the next 2 days....
  20. Hard to tell from small pics but i would say it looks to have been changed....im sure you can find out by ringing the said dealership in your service book.... The stamps will have LEXUS and the name of dealership Then Authorised repairer number I.E 123 and telephone number.. Give them a call as they should have the service invoice sheet on record as to if and when it was done.... hope it helps you a bit...
  21. Hi im just putting up a post to let people know that my IS200 sport will be in the for sale section in the next 2-4 weeks.... Lexus IS200 sport Aeropack2 with "18" alloys or also known as the TRD bodykit....2005 plate......FULL leather interior... Its got FULL Lexus service history etc 10 months tax and MOT... etc etc.... just letting people know really incase anyone is looking out for a IS200.... Full details and pics ,right up etc will be done when it goes up for sale.... cheers Dazzz..... :)
  22. Sounds like the same problem the IS200 has ..in that the pad moves around inside the calliper housing (and makes a nice loud clonk noise)the retaining clips may be slack and need opening them out to tighten them up a bit.( in essence holds the pad tighter).....or could be a ball joint....how old is your car..?
