  1. If you are misfiring this is normally a fuelling problem, looks like you replaced everything but the air flow meter. I had an error flash up on my Altezza and the fuel consumption dropped. I took it to a local performance specialist in Southampton and they spent a week going through everything and came up with the air flow meter or something like that - the thing that regulates the flow of fuel depending on how much air has been requested by the throttle. They did explain it to me but I am a numpty when it come to these things. The guy also mentioned that the japanese rarely change their spark plugs as they get rid of the car before they need changing and this is often another fault. Cost me about £100 and it was all fixed and dandy. If you want some further info email me on douglas_neal@yahoo.co.uk. Cheers, Douglas
  2. Aha, thanks. Wish I had known that when the car overheated and had to be recovered, would have saved some wear on the tyres! Thanks again for the quick response.
  3. Finally got my RS200! What a car, like driving silk. I have sussed all the gadgets and even learnt japanese so I could programme the computer (nerdy i know..), however I have a little button marked shift lock at the top of my auto consul. I think it may be broke cos it don't do anything. My guess is that it should stop the manual mode from changing down gears on its own (which really annoys me). Do any of the guys and gals out there that have an auto RS help me? (I have had a whole rake of faults with this car that were all kindly sorted out by a local garage so here is a shortened list for info: - wildly varying oil pressure gauge - oil sender switch - rattling from the engine under heavy accelleration - cam belt tensioners - shaking under heavy breaking - front or rear bushes worn - heating up too quickly then overheating - kinked lower water hose) Cheers, Slug
  4. I thought Hampshire was the spiritual home of the Lexus? Goodness only knows who would buy a BMW when they could afford a to live in such a beautiful county and afford to drive a proper car...
  5. Poo. I was hoping to keep my new baby as original as possible without going over my budget. I certainly won't be sticking a tomtom on the screen though, I doubt it would stay on long with the way I drive! Looks like my only other option is the computer conversion from fargosys .com! Thanks for the quick reply it is much appreciated.
  6. Hi to all, this is my first post although I have been reading for a while. My RS200 is currently sat on the dock of the bay (well, southampton), wasting ti-i-i-ime whilst the SVA gets done. I have read as much as the forums as possible and believe the only option for me to convert the standard Japanese sat nav to a UK system is a minimum £500 upgrade from Drive and View. com (thanks to Luke for the prompt response). I would have thought that the Hardware would be pretty standard and only the software would need upgrading. Has anyone done this UK conversion from a Jap import? Cheers, Slug
