  1. It's not looking good for Birmingham....................... Lexus Hanley I can seriously recommend and only about 40 miles away.
  2. I think I could have saved 15% of the price of parts, but speak to chris at Lexus Hanley parts, he will tell you for sure.
  3. Hi Alex JB, link does not work for me, message says " this site has expired"
  4. As Tel says, to much oil is almost as bad as not enough, I would find a friendly garage to drain off and start again, new oil and filter change £60 -£80, engine damage :tsktsk: £££££££££££
  5. How much did it all cost, if you don't mind my asking? My service is due in September Cheers, BigJon All in cost for timing belt £256.00 inc vat, and a free car for the day, my local non Lexus garage mechanic quoted around £250, with no Lexus stamp and no courtesy car.
  6. Just thought I'd share todays experience, 0915 dropped my LS at Lexus hanley for timing belt at 60k, Had just sat down in service whilst I waited to book in, with-in 10 Min's I had been booked in and shown to my courtesy car, (brand new Mazda 3, not even done 300 miles). Collected LS at 1715, advised on small rubber bush problem, paid quoted amount for timing belt, got service book stamped, car had been washed and vacumed, 1st class. :D If your not happy with any part of your local Lexus dealer, and are not to far from Staffordshire, give Lexus hanley a try, you won't be disappointed.
  7. Loads on ebay and ebay US. There was four of five selling single one last week on ebay US. Also a breaker from UK would have one. I'm currently the winning bidder for a set on ebay, i'll sell one to you if I win ps. did you sort your park light
  8. Hi Si, sorry cant help with checking the belt as I'm as mechanically minded as a sponge, I have heard of horror stories of timing belts going and causing hundereds of pounds of damage(could be just a tale spread by dealers though)compared to £250 to replace belt at Lexus, I thought most dealers/garages place a sticker on the engine to confirm that the belt has been changed, and to be fair I don't think they would say change at 60k if not needed.
  9. Go on then, I'll ask the stupid question, JAE can't be just me who doesn't know............... can it
  10. welcome to LOC mate, enjoy your new car :winky:
  11. If there was a real problem with the park brake you would feel it, and as you say, just passsed an MOT
  12. That cleared up atleast, just make sure you release the park brake fully, I always release mine twice just to be sure, if not that then can only be a sticky contact I'm sure.
  13. Are you sure it's the park brake light and not the low pad warning light ( don't wish to sound condescending)
  14. Just looked in owners manual, but nothing listed I don't know if the series 2 is the same but if so the fuse is number 11 situated in the driver's side kick panel ( could be passenger side as my book is for the US spec model) and is rated at 15A ( according to the book this fuse also controls the heater rear window as well so check to see if this is working 1st) . Hi Steve, The fuses on the MkIII are under the bonnet but the legends on the box lid don't refer to air con and as EO66 points out, there is nothing in the user handbook to help Ken Redken As per my post Timing belt/time to change, I'm taking my car to Lexus dealer on wed, hope your sorted by then but if not let me know and I'll ask the question for you, what year and letter is your LS Hi EO66 Mine is a 96 'P' Regards Ken Cheers Ken, Like I said hopefully you will be sorted sooner rather that later, if your not I can ask at my Lexus dealer on Wed, bet it's something simple though, regards, Ian
