hmm thats odd - My grille looks kind of like the pics above already and I want it black! I can only assume the paint has worn off mine over the years, ive never noticed it before! Think I'm going to go down the black spray paint route first, will I need to sand it all back (all those little holes wil take ages!) or can I just clean it up and spray on a primer first?

Yeh thats the grille i have - although I also like your idea to cut out the bars and mesh it! Then I could just buy a lexus logo off the net and glue it on! I also like the "non chrome" look too... so many decisions, so little money!!

Most agree the sports grille is the way to go in terms of looks, however, I don't have the cash to waste on things like this, as I'm saving for insurance / tax to get my car back on the road after now 10 months on my driveway, killing me a little more each day! Ive spend today painting the brake calipers, and am happy with the results, I'll be spraying the inside of the headlights body color too, and this got me thinking about spraying my standard grille black. I'm thinking of keeping the logo silver (obviously) and also the chrome effect around the outside, but just sanding back, priming and spraying the main part black. This will give a more agressive, or sports grille kind of effect, but save me a fair bit, and give something a little different. I'm a little concerned over time about stone chips etc. What are peoples ideas?

There are two in Forza 2 on xbox 360, an IS300, and Project IS430 V8. My IS300 has a *few* mods and puts out 869bhp. which is nice.

There is one on the advert for some documentary about the recent snowfall in the UK, it is black, has slid of the road and is covered in snow, but you can clearly see the IS200 alloy. Wondered if it was anyone on here? I know people were reporting how much of a handful they are in the snow!

I want to clean up the sorry state of my exhaust - i vaguely remember someone posting on here about it, but when I use the Assitant -> search thing, I always seem to bring up 1000 results, and none are anywhere near what im looking for (is this not the best way to search?) If anyone can recommend a good product I would be ery grateful, and will I need to wire brush the rust off first, or can i just clean it? thanks

Thanks Rig-pig, i like the blue - however I'm guessing the blue is a litle darker in real life? It looks a little too light in those pics to match the car? What brand / color did you use to paint the calipers? I'm gonna go for blue but with silver lexus lettering instead i think!

Hi Rig-Pig - the lights are looking great, I was just debating to spray my lights black or blue, but after seeing them I'm almost settled on blue - Have you got any close up pics / pics of the lights fitted to your car? Ironically the bodykit if the next thing I want to get fitted - how much did you pay for yours, and where did you get it from?

Hi guys - what do you think would suit my blue IS more - spraying the headlights black, or spraying them blue? Does anyone have any pics of a blue IS with blue headlights? (Ive seen blue and black, someone on here has done a great "how to" that I will be following! I'm also wondering what colour to paint my calipers, I don't want to go for red, I'm thinking either blue or black (again!) with silver lexus lettering, If anyone has any pics of a blue IS with Blue calipers 'd be very grateful! Ahh yes - my signature! Sorry guys - I haven't logged in for a while with my car being off the road off the road for the last 5 months, I've kind of shyed away from the forums a bit! But now with a new job and £4.5k payrise, I'm hoping to get my car back on the road within the next couple of months! Am going to be painting my break calipers first of all (about the cheapest mod you can do i think!) until my first payday!

In which case fellas, I have inadvertently lied to you all! I know for a fact that my tom tom said 143mph, and i remember the speedo way over-reading towards the end of the clock, but at that speed I obviously didn't read it off properly! Appologies! That's crazy, according to my sums you were on the limiter in top gear if you were doing 143!!! Hope you didn't stay there too long. No i didn't, i wanted to see 145mph but couldn't get tomtom past 143, so gave up.

doubt it Why doubt that my speedo massively overeads? I didn't say i got 160+ out of it, tom tom said it was 143mph, but even that is a little doubtful.

The pic above was when I tried it out to make sure it would work, it was late at night, Ive since installed it in so the wires don't show (just a tiny tiny wire coming out of the tape deck and into the left hand side running behind the stereo. You can control the ipod using standard CD controls!? What!? Wh as no-one told me about this before! ave you got a link to website / details?!
