Hi Everyone The ball joint bush for my left front wheel has gone (Altezza RS200) and its making the most aweful metal on metal noise, ive taken it to the mechanic who reckons he cant just order the bush on its own but the entire lower arm. He wants £340 plus, and i dont have that kind of money to get my car going right . So does anyone know where i can buy a replacement for much cheaper, or even the bush on its own, used is okay. And is the part the same as the lexus?

I phoned up Tescos the woman i spoke to said Tescos would not insure that vehicle to under 25s but would be Okay if was a UK car as its in a completely different league or something. They wouldnt even insure me if i was the named driver under an older persons insurance policy living under the same house as me. Maybe i should have lied. The didnt even ask if it was the 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder altezza. They asked if it was a Cheyenne or something like that. I was like "what?" They asked if it was supercharged, I said NO. So its insured as a "avensis" LOL wtf (no through tescos of course), thats what came up on their computer with the registration plate i gave them, for £1700 fire and theft third party. So i dont know what to do...

Hi What exactly is a "z" edition rs200? Ive been hearing mention of them, and even had a look at the numbers of my own car engine bay and it ends with "z", does this mean its a Z edition?

Hi Im finding it rather expensive and even difficult to insure my altezza rs200. Tescos seemed to be the best option but when they found out it was an import they would not insure it at all unless you are older than 25. I am 24. Basically i pay 1800 for 3rd party fire and theft at the moment per annum though Axa. I have had a full for more than 3 years but as i only just changed it to a UK license they class me as new driver, as insurance is not mandatory in New Zealand and i cant provide no claims. Ive only just insured it recently so if i can find a better deal ill pull out. Its completely standard other than some pretty dark rear tints (havent even declared them) Any suggestions of suitable insurance companies please let me know. Thank you in advance

I spoke to my neighbour (hes an RAC callout guy) and asked him to have a look, he revved it redline in park and the light didnt come on so he reckoned it could be a gearbox problem :tsktsk:

Hi I have a japanese import 1999 toyota altezza rs200 tiptronic, its a beautiful car but has a problem which is getting me down The problem is when its in automatic drive when you give it a bit of throttle the engine light comes on and the car seems to go into a limp home mode. Yesterday was really bad, while i was driving the car did this and started driving really sluggishly, then evenually it cut off completely - the revs went to o and could move, power steering also was affected, and even brakes didnt work properly! After i came to a holt, i turned off the car and then back again, and the problem has gone away (for now) im too scared to give it any throttle as im afraid its going to happen again. Please can someone give me some advice/info
