  1. Think LPG fits have to be certified by an approved installer now, might be worth checking this out first.
  2. You will get pulled and the Lex will be taken from you and crushed. You will get more points and more fines. Why not sell the Lex and buy the old banger, insure that and buy another in the future when you can get reasonable priced insurance?
  3. Well, as you know the vehicle is over 3 years old so outside manufacture warranty. Did the selling dealer give you a warranty with it? If not then you are relying on a goodwill claim from Lexus GB which will need to be approved. Alternatively, if it was a Lexus approved vehicle you have a right to return it within 30 days and exchange it for a similar vehicle.
  4. Are you in a breakdown service, if so call them out and they will get in for you. Assuming the car has not deadlocked then the door handle on the inside should work. But as the previous poster has said the car should not autolock when the keys are inside.
  5. Are you a Gold Member Ifty? Only it doesn't say against your username on here, and some of the dealers will check the database before giving the discount on the invoice.
  6. Surely if oil was leaking from the engine it would go onto the undertray, have you removed this?
  7. P1651 - VSV ( vacuum switch valve ) for ACIS ( Acoustic Control Induction System ) Circuit Malfunction (European spec.)
  8. Go to the dealership and ask for a print of the service record, it should say all that has been done to the car, when and what mileage. Alos, you can check government site for previous MOT's so that would check from 2009 on. Was it a Lexus approved car?
  9. As well as car insurance ( up for women, down for men ), it will affect life insurance ( up for women, down for men ) and pension annuities ( down for men ( your monthly pension payment when you retire ) and up for women ). Think I've got that the right way round.
  10. So you have owned four Lexus cars across the last 12 years and sign up on here to complain about the salesmen :( A very strange post to me ;)
  11. I'd remove the console, look at the colour of wires and see if you can trace them anywhere.
  12. If it gets too cold try putting a condom on it ;)
  13. Yes, didn't know they did one without. Look at the bottom of your current screen to double check.
  14. I had same problem on mine from new, and all the tyres had been left overinflated. I suggest check the pressures and rduce them to 35, if you still get the problem then it looks like you may have other damage. Was the car damaged before you bought it or since? Any knowledge of the accident?
  15. It's under the mat in the boot, sunken in a plastic shelf along with a couple of other bits.
  16. Have you had the car from new? Has it had any accidents, bumped the kerb or gone down any potholes. Are you sure the car has been set to WIM settings ( printouts to prove )?
  17. Take it back to the fitters then, until they get it right.
  18. So when did you have the work done? How soon after ( time and miles ) did you have the problems? Immediately? When they fixed the timing did the light come back on straight away?
  19. Did you fit the engine yourself? Did the new engine run alright before you put in your car?
  20. Toyota have today announced recalls for 19,000 cars in the UK, made up from the Toyota Avensis and the Lexus IS250 for potential fuel leaks. Recall
