  1. Two ways to find dentmaster, or something like it, 1) google dent master, it's a franchise like wicked wheels. 2) go to your local dealer ship and ask who does theirs, every dealer has one, and see if you can bung him some cash on the QT ...... obviously you don't want the stealer to do it for you cus they'll obviously mark up the price !!!!!!
  2. When not get a dent master type guy to come and sort it properly £40 - £100 max I would guess, probably the lesser if you've done some of the work. The bonnet should be really easy to sort out.
  3. Ian, I'm on there too, you have a pm !!!!!! Shoei is a popular lid as well for what it's worth !!!!! I_love_my ........ never been that kean on the S4R to be honest ....... but I hey each to their own ...... any duke is a piece of class in my book !!!!!!! Tiger Fish .......... frankly chap, it looks like you're talking bullocks
  4. This is my current baby ......... a lot of fun but 18-20mpg or less if you're having lots of fun - 3.5ltr V6 But it's a well known fact tha the Jap car manufacturers ALWAYS over estimate mpg's ...... and german's under estimate !!! The Sport was recently test by what car and gave 34 mpg didn't it ?
  5. You're joking ....... all I'm trying to improve on is 18 mpg ....... you telling me it won't be better than that !!!!!!!
  6. Oh Rock Steps ...... yeah ..... the all purpose viffer can do those no problem ..... You've seen the Herbie films .... well ...... Yeah right ....... I wouldn't know where to start !!!!!! Sounds like you've got a nice garage there to keep you occupied ....... any plans to put the enfield back together ? Nice bikes but not something you'd use as a daily commute though ....... and those dry clutches are somewhat of an aquired taste when it comes to living with them !!!!!! BUt I agree ..... the 999 replacement is a seriously good looking bit of kit ..... but I actually liked the 999 with it's strange headlights.
  7. The Black bird doesn't seem to old it's price well but the R1200 is kinda in a class of it's own really and not comparable to the Blackbird. And it's shaft driven which I guess would be an advantage. HUMAN ERROR - behave mate ....... no bloody engine !!!!!!
  8. Just thought I'd say that I've had a absolutely stonking deal on my new IS220d from Lister Lexus in Worcester. I was looking for a contract hire / lease for various reasons but what has suprised me is that as a dealer they have even beaten the big lease companies ...... I'm paying only £229 per month on a 3 & 23 deal for 10,000 miles. When I compare that to the other cars available to me there really wasn't an competition. I've always been quick to slag off dealers but credit where credit's due ...... anyone looking for an IS should talk to these guys !!!!! Quick. And because he was really helpful I'd particularly mention big Dave in Sales !!!!!!!!
  9. Only 98% ......... Sorry, I must be slipping :shutit: :winky: "Rock Step" enducate me please sir The answer though is probably not ....... anyway ........ did you describe my little viffer as a big lump If you did I think I like you :winky: What bikes have you got then, now I'm currious ????
  10. I bow to your superior knowledge sir and apologise for any unintentional offence. The point being, syrely it's a waste of time buying winter tyres for the virtually non existant British Winter ...... Switzerland ..... yep, works fo me, Bolton ...... sorry ...... surely no point. I would guess someone would be better placed buying summer sticky tyres rather than winter tyres. All just seems a little pointless. When the last snow fall came I was in the 350 with 19" wheels, 9.5j front and 10.5j rear fitted with low profile toyo poxies and I managed to get home ok by being sensible ......... admittedly I then left the car on the drive for two days but hey ....... again being sensible ...... two days in a year hardly compares to a Swiss winter does it.
  11. Come on all you boring family saloon drivers ....... and paul K with the pimp mobeeeeel ......... who out there has some real fun and indulges in two wheeled motorised fun ....... and remember it's nought without pickies !!!!!!!
  12. Sorry didn't make myself clear a winter or snow tyre is compounded for use on snow ........ prolonged use on tarmac will cause it to overheat and wear more rapidly than expected, not to mention that in rain it would give you all the road holding of six bananna skins lashed together with dental floss as it's tread pattern is not designed to clear water from the contact area with the road rather cut through and grip snow !!!!! It comes back to ....... for use in the UK use a halfway decent all purpose tyre and don't be so bloody stupid as to drive in the snow unless yo really really need to ...... and if it's so critical to go out in all weather a rear wheel drive lexus should be replaced by a stonking great defender !!!!!!!!! :P
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong ........ and I probably am ....... but if you're thinking of winter tyres you're best to go for much thinner tyres than you inevitable have on the lexus ...... this will mean thinner wheels !!!!!!!! This would enable you to change them at short notice to avoid excess wear when it isn't snowing and enable you to keep decent looking wheels on the rest of the time. If you're thinking of different tyres for wet conditions ...... you've not got the right road tyres in the first place !!!!!!
  14. Nah ........ wrong colour ....... should be brighter ........ like this one ...... only much much faster.
  15. Hi guys ..... went in to chase paper work on my chug-a-lug diesel today and has a sit in the SC ....... nice mota lads ....... it certainly oozes class once your inside. Like another car Paul K and I cold mention I do think it looks better with the roof down but hey ....... I'm only jealous that I can't afford one. Was talking to the sales guy and there's a replacement for it out soon isn't there ...... is that the Supe replacement do you think Paul ????? Have you got any pickies as to what it will look like. PS ...... you understand I don't have an SC and am probably not rich enough to post in this section of the forum but I'm posting here because as a socially concious individual I feel compelled to talk to you sad few "Billie no mates" rather than mock the afflicted from a distance :winky:
  16. Hiya chap ...... hope the search goes well ....... I'm sure pickies will be posted when you're sorted
  17. Cheers Bobski ........ Mason's do sounds like a "Ladies Night". Traditionally the way in which us Mason's thank our bints ..... or "Ladies" as we are supposed to refer to them as ..... for letting us out to play in our Male only dining club ...... the reality is mine is only too happy to have a bit of peace and quiet and complete control of the tv remote ....... The evening is usually a formal sit down nosh with toasts and lots of sucking up to the ladies followed by a ball ....... either old style ball room dancing if you're unlucky, or something little more modern is you're not. Best one I've been to was a blues brothers tribute band ...... I had an 80's tribute band at mine last year. Basically it's the choice of the master of the lodge as to what they put on. Take plenty of change as being Masons and Masonry allegedly being free (in joke for the brethren there) they will try and fleece you of your cash for charity collections. Be prepared for everything from raffles & tombolas to a simple collection plate going round the dinner table. There is usually a photographer who takes a photo of you and yours with the master and his when you arrive which if you like you have the option of buying usually after the meal. Basically if it is a ladies night relax and enjoy a bit of pomp and ceremony ...... and don't jump when the gavelling starts !!!!! Enjoy
  18. Rear wheel drive is the only way to go ....... I'm coming from a 350z to a lexus as I have decided to put a car through the company and 3.5 ltr V6's are very, very harmful to your tax code and of the cars I looked at (including volvo, saab, qashqai, alfa 159) the Lexus was the only rear wheel drive ...... and *** did it show. Even for a smeggy dielsel with the shortest first two gears I've ever tried to drive. it handles like a beauty and at over £100 per month cheaper than the basic BMW and megga bucks cheaper than the merc right now !!!!!! Having drifted the zed (albeit at relatively slow speeds) I think the 220d will be a touch heavy and underpowered to have real fun ..... but you petrol boys get your rocks off. Ice ....... ah ....... traction control and stability programs do have a weak spot ........ if all four wheels are spinning at roughly the same speed they can't tell the difference between your driving happily in a straight line and going sideways across sheet ice !!!!!!!!! If the weathers that bad ...... seriously stay at home ....... especially if you have wide tyres and an auto box ....... bravery and stupidity are often bed fellows
  19. Cheers Tango ........ not looking overly good then ........ but from what you say it sounds like there's still hope !!!!!!!
  20. Cheers guys ..... looks like I've got wheels to sell if they don't go with the zed ....... or ....... I could see if they fit the other halfs Supra !!!!!
  21. Hiya matey ....... there'a at least one person here who'll appreciate the zed then :winky: Nice to see you again buddy. Tango ...... I'll keep my eyes open although I'm guessing a lexus doesn't stand out as much as the zeds do ....... I'm gonna have to start paying attention. I do Ombersley to Stoke Prior most days via Droitwich ..... you won't see the zed for much longer and I'll post a pickie of my Rep car special as soon as I get it ........ although a red Honda VFR 800 is probably the best thing to look out for ha ha ha MacRS200 ........ it's only a matter of time then
  22. Thing is Rikos, it's like any club ....... you go in expect little or nothing except for friendships ...... but those in themselves often bring gain in both material or errrm, and I hesitate to use the word but, "spiritual" forms. Think about it, you join a golf club and there's a bloke you get friendly with who is a builder ...... and you need a new conservatory done ...... he does you a good price and you let him fit the work in arround other jobs ..... there you go mutual material gain. Same thing happns on forums ..... I got a free set of sprockets for my bike off a chap on the bike forum I use ....... in return I also bought an oe sprocket. Can't use two front sprockets but it seemed rude not to. I guess it the usual you scratch my back I'll scratch yours you normally get with friends ...... it's just another way of meeting friends. There is a feelings that Mason's look after their own ....... in many respects that's true ...... at every lodge meeting we collect monies from the members to go to the Almoner's fund .... The Almoner then splits the monies; part gets sent to Masonic charities, par gets sent to non masonic charities. I and a couple of other brethren in my lodge are bikers and we support the Warwickshire Air Ambulance every year ..... that's obviously non masonic. On the masonic front there are several national masonic charities ...... one of which sent £1 million to provide help for victims of "the psunami" within a week of it occuring. hat didn't hit the press I can tell you. On top of that individual provinces sent various sums measured in the tens of thousands for the same purpose. Looking after their own ...... yep Mason's do do that ....... when my Dad died when I was 21 (he too was a mason) my sister was just about to start Uni .... my Mom received a call from the lodge Almoner who enquired as to her (and our) financial well being and reminded Mom that if she couldn't afford to support my sister through UNi, the lodge would ensure that funds were made available. In my book, that's a good thing. Don't get me wrong it's not a gravy chain, but it is there to support your nearest and dearest when you've gone. Similarly there are a number of care homes arround the country which are funded purely by Masonic monies ..... they take people both with and without masonic connections. The thing with Mason bashing (and don't get me wrong nothing should be exempt from scrutiny) is that it's often done by people who have no connection with freemasonry who have chosen to look solely for aspec on which to discredit the organisation. On the flip side ...... older mason's are so bloody secretive ...... wha do they expect. As I hope you can see ..... I consider myself the "new" stlye of mason ..... I have a square and compasses on my number plate (bike and car) and have no reservations about talking about what we do. What I WILL NOT tell you are the secrets of masonry ..... but I can tell you what those secrets are ..... they are simply the way that one mason can identift himself and his rank to another. This dates back to the days when mason's built castles and churches ........ a bunch of masons turn up at the site ..... they are asked if they are an experienced craftsman or an apprentice ....... because pc's didn't exist much less a detailed cv they had secret handshakes to identify what level of skill they had attained and consequently how much they got paid. As they developed their skills they were given the secrets of a superior pay scale. Simple really. Freemasonry as we know it today may have evolved when these groups of builder moved from area to area. Bearing in mind a castle wasn't often pre fab'd it took a while to build. So when the brickies arrived the first thing they did was build themselves a shed to live in ..... or lodge ..... (Are you thinking back to Auf Vidersein Pet - Sorry about the spelling !!!) When you put a group of blokes together they develop "ways" of doing the veery day tasks ..... lets say that was the start of the ritual or ceremonies. Over time, local people would become part of the group and adopt the same rituals and practices. When the builders buggered off to the next site, they left behind the lodge and the locals who had joined them to carry on their practices. Well that's one theroy. Anyway Rikos, and anyone else who has bothered to read this drivel ...... I hope that's given you a bit of insight. If you have anything that you are either uneasy with or still want to know, please keep asking .... as I say, there isn't much that a good maosn won't tell you !!!!!!!!
  23. Musty smell is fungus in your air con ...... to avoid it in the first place you need to ensure your air con / climate runs pretty much all the time, or you run it for ten minutes on hot and full power just before you finish driving and get out. To get rid of the problem you have two choices : 1) Run air con hot and fast for circa 15 - 20 minutes a few times to cook the fungus 2) Get an anti bacterial aerosol from Halfrauds ....... thrush cream for your car !!!!!!! Puddle is, I would guess, usual with aircon in such wet & damp atmospheric conditions as we are currently experiencing.
  24. Amazing these search features aren't they Answered my own question : Yes, but not of the width that I have !!!!!! Oh well !!!!!
  25. Sounds a little like horse, stable, bolted !!!!!! I would be shocked and horified if lightning struck twice on this one ..... I'm guessing someone has had them away for a specific reason as it's not the sort of thing some little scrote would want on his bedroom wall. I stand to be corrected but might be worth not throwing good money after bad !!!!!
