  1. If you own a low mileage car and run it yourself to a high mileage you know if it has been looked after. Buying a high mileage car is more of a risk, as you don’t know how it has been driven or maintained.
  2. Out of interest Christian, did you take out a service plan with your local Lexus Dealer?
  3. They are lovely looking cars! If I were to go back to a saloon - the ES300h would be my first choice. Greens and Browns are coming back into fashion!
  4. The LS 400 is now a very niche car - only people who KNOW how good they are would consider buying one. There are two ways to look at the car - a billiant V8 that will no longer be made or a dinosaur that is due for extinction. The move towards electric vehicles and the increases in road tax that will surely come will put many people off. I am pleased to say I have owned TWO of these cars and can now fully appreciate how good they are. I MUST do a review on here!
  5. Still disappointing as you could probably have bought a used one at some point. When you buy a NEW car you pay a premium to get what you want.
  6. QUOTE: I’m heading down to Suffolk in a few weeks’ time for an overnight stay. I know where I have to park is getting on for half a mile away from the hotel. I can’t help that. It wouldn’t surprise me if walked back to the car the following morning to find it on bricks. A few years back I had to change one of my tyres due to a slow puncture - to my horror the locking wheel nut was missing! The dealers PDI was rubbish. The mobile tyre fitter said that he has never known a wheel (s) being stolen from a car in his many years of experience. He said that locking wheel nuts were the bain of his life but if a thief wanted your wheels a locking wheel nut would not stop them. I accept there may be insurance implications if you do not have locking nuts and because so many people do have them, the wheel stealers have given up? Your thoughts gentlemen?
  7. Welcome to the Forum! The car looks a peach! Do tell more! Mileage? Purchase - Dealer / Private - What makes have you had before?
  8. Sorry, I am no expert on these matters, I only know the basics. Hopefully someone will reply.
  9. The 1.2 / 1.3 (?) non turbo is a basic choice which I would prefer. I like the style of the Duster but the reliability would put me off.
  10. Who diagnosed your issue? Have you checked the 12volt battery? Disconnect for 15 mins and try again. I expect you have already tried this but as this is your first post I thought it worth mentioning.
  11. Mesa Red - Tan interior - sorry the BEST! I find black interiors too dark. A light interior prevents SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder.
  12. Yaris / Jazz / Corolla / Verso / Micra / Pixo (?) / Nissan Cube (left field!) / Skoda Fabia What is your budget?
  13. I remember the days when if you got 30mpg out of a 1.3 Cortina - you were doing well!
  14. You can have a short ride / drive in a LS400 and not be particularly impressed. Own one for over 6 months and then you will begin to appreciate how good they are.
  15. Not many for sale at that price and mileage - those that are available are located up north. What is wrong with your RX 400h? Good luck with your search.
