  1. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has used a Vacuum brake bleeder system on ABS brakes with any success. The manufacturer of the one I have now says No, but the manufacturer of one that is ldentical to mine says "that is what they were designed for". Bit of a stumper. Any Ideas? Cheers for any info Nige
  2. Hi I was wondering if anyone had sucessfully used a vacuum brake bleeder on an IS200. I've been told that they're not man enough to suck the fluid through the ABS unit. I contacted the manufactuer, who said that they have been getting complaints saying that this was the case, but couldn't tell me if it was all ABS systems or just certain makes. The bleeder is fed 120psi and the maufactuer claims it to have 60% vacuum. Its a little puzzling because I've read on one of the forums that brakes can be bled with the 20psi car tyre pressure systems without any problem and also when I've bled ABS systems on my previous cars using the peddle, there hasn't been any noticable resistance on the peddle. If all else fails I'll just have to use the peddle and stick to the 75% rule. I've used this method successfully for 30+ years until a couple of months ago when I lost my brother's Polo's master cyclinder on the operating table, so I'm just a little bit dubious incase I get a repeat performance. Cheers for any comments Nigel
