on my last car, i averaged about 21mpg. i thought it was normal due to uprated cams and other parts. i did an oil change, and made sure tyres had good psi. (plus new tyres up front) the following week i managed to hit 30mpg without changing my driving style

thats pretty bad. the company i work for use world pay, the money gets held for 2 week, and the charge is a hell of a lot less! i security check all our orders, if they come back a bit dodgy we ask the buyer to send proof like a bill. if they dont get back within 7-10days we refund the order. does world pay let you see the security check? i get to see it kinda like this: card address: matched post code: matched country issuer: not checked security code: not supported if any one of them dont match, i check up the ip address and contact them.

i use to use pay at pump, only at esso, shell or tesco stations. but my girlfriend tried it once, a couple of days later the card company calls and asks "are you spending in spain?"

hi! i really like the latter tail lights found on the gs300 mk2. i think they came around 2004, does anyone know a where i can get them from apart from lexus? or does anyone know how much they cost? i found them on lextasy but they dont ship outside USA

good idea! im going to check voltage when i get home from work. i'll try to take apart the selector bit on the weekend, might aswell do a how to while im at it for the mk2! the radio works just fine, apart from some pixels. before i brought it the garage guy said he had a few cd's in it, and it was working fine. its covered by their warranty, im hoping its just a simple fix as i dont want the hassle of making a claim. i've sorted out the thread one thanks!

Hi im new too, also got a gs300 1999. mines got 87k miles on the clock, got the car saturday. the last time it was changed was at lexus at 67k, im not doing mine till 100k. from searching previous posts on the forum, some people pay £300 up for a local garage to do it. i dont think lexus will charge too much, its always worth pitting the dealers against eachother to beat prices. ring a few dealers up and get quotes. might bag yourself a stamp in the book!

hi this is my first lexus i've had, and im more than happy! its 1999 sport. i did want the one with gear changing buttons on the steering wheel, but this was too mint to pass those are the sale pics, i havnt got any decent ones yet! car is smooth as can be, i cant believe its so smooth with 18inch alloys. theres a few things i need fix here and there, other than that its in perfect condition! cant wait to start working on it EDIT: more pics

im sorry to hear your car has been writen off. however, i'd give the insurance company hell for crushing it without letting you take bits off it. what difference does it make? they arent making money by crushing bits you've put on the car. call them and speak to a manager or if they are close to you drive down and throw a brick at them! demand that you strip the car before they crush it!

Hi! this is my first lexus, having been a nissan nut for a couple of years. i've got a gs300 mk2 1999 in silver. its got lovely 18inch alloys although they have slight kurbing and flaking. the previous owner looked after the car well, with a full service history with lexus. i've got a few questions though. is there a light underneath the gear selector? if there is i think mines blown out. can i replace it? what bulb does it take? my drivers door red light doesnt work i tried a new 501 bulb but its still not working. any ideas? my cd player doesnt seem to work. i can hear it load the cd, but the screen just shows the cd number. i;ve tried a lense cleaner but that hasnt helped. would this be expensive to fix at lexus? or would i be better off taking the changer out and going to a local audio place to see if they can get it working? finally, i've read through a couple of threads and noticed i have to click on the replys to view them. is there an option that will just show them all once i;ve clicked on the thread?
