Hi Guys after crashing my car! the insurance company are having trouble finding information about the supercharger parts and prices to and where to order them from! Does anyone know where i can get the parts from? Or who is best to contact. I have to go and see the car tomorrow to tell them what need replacing so i can get prices for the parts to see if they are gonna write the car off or not?? :( It sucks soo bad! And is taking soo long to sort out!! Cheers for any help! Tom.

Cheers for the comments guys, yeh in a way i hope the car is written off as it just wouldnt be the same! But i will Deff get another IS! i have not had a car that comes close to one yet! My dad was suprisingly cool about it as he knows i dont d**k about when i have people in the car! So was generally one of those things that is just bad luck! The barrier was smashed! On the car the Rad, Pipework, Intercooler, Powersteering, Wings, Bonnet, Bumper, Lights, Slam pannel and some other buits are gone, pretty much the front of the car is buggerd! Gonna do a job........ Do it right! Think the charger, BOV will be salvageable but the rest is pretty fooked! Will post pics up sometime 2moro! :( which is wen i have to call Dovercourt to find out if its repairable! If not might be looking at Bazza's as kind of fell in love at JAE! Now ive had a charged one i'll want it again lol If i can buy the car hback i will strip it as all the leather is Mint and treated every sunday! the whole car was pretty much perfect as i am OCD about my cars being cleaned lol But once again! it is just a car........ Hi guys! Cheers for the kind words! Yeh the supercharger and everything was declared! Only for 5 days mind! Looked through the book and i have 3 years no claims so it knocks me down to one (i think its the first time ive smiled since 2am saturday) The story: I was coming off Avenue of Rememberance heading towards the A12 on a slip road. The road has soo many different road surfaces its rediculous! I was doing about 60, with snow mode on. The slip road is quite a long sweeping bend and i was being careful and avoided the left lane (notoriously for being slippery and having big puddles). Then the backend twiched as it went through a puddle, then began to slide! I tried to steer into it and keep the power the same but the car just slid back! Hit the Barrier and span into the middle of the road! I dont know where the front bumper is?? might have to go look in the caravan park ( a 10meter dromp the other side of the barrier!) 2nite and have a look! Out of about 20 cars only 1 stopped! Goes to show wot kind of a world we live in! The police turned up and asked who the driver was! i said me and he started to go into one! Saying oh another young driver! showing off, heavy right foot and doent know how to control his car! At that point i F***ING lost my temper! Called himalot of stuff C**T, being the main one! They didnt even have the decency to ask if anyone was ok! Like yet again wot a C**T!!! I will be putting in a formal letter of complaint! Even said (oi you lot need to walk up to the top of the road) ITS A BUSY ROAD YOU P**CK! They towed my car to the top after me arguing and telling him he wasnt to start it! Did a breath test and went for coffee and cakes no doubt! Ive done a rough extimate at work and think its about 6k of damage! :( :( :( I am totaly gutted! i bloody love my car! Ive worked my ***** off for 3 year scraped and saved and only paid my mum and dad back 2 months ago :( :( While waiting for recovery i decided the car didnt need, Headrests, Spare wheel, spare whee// boot tool thing, TRD radiator cap, TRD gearnob, Mats and the ashtrays! If i get the car back it will go back in, if not sell it! :) Pics to follow! Tom.

Yeh speaking to a few people about Industion Kits :D So ive got a cut up airbox and some duct tape to stop any air leaking at the mo! I'm going to try to contact TTE to see what size the bold i need is, as its a different type of thread to the bolts ive to lying around? Is there anyone in paticular i need to contact? I got my mate to push against the pulley tensioner so i could get it tighter! Looks alot better now and doesnt flex :D Really enjoying the charger! Was great to meet everyone there and get idea's of what else to do next :P Tom.

Cheers again guys, the car is running really well and im enjoyin the look on peoples faces as i go past as no one expected me to actually get it all done :D Stav would be really good if you did have a spare seal! i can sometimes hear a slight whistle when accelerating , have made sure all connections are tight so am guessing it is leaking boost from the BOV. I PM'd Rolex but he already got the bracket he needed from TTE. Cheers for everyones help and was good meeting you all! Will deff make more effort to come to more of the meets! Tom.

Car is running good! i replaced a Spring and Washer on the charger because the throttle bypass wasnt closing properly, and now i only have to put in one bolt and sort out the rubber ring on the BOV to stop it leaking boost! Need to get a part number for the missing bolt! And find somewhere to get the O ring for the BOV! Yeh he found out and wasnt too bad about it! :o just said he hopes it is all ok and running fine :D Cheers once again for your help and taking the pics! will be good to see them wen you have time to put them up! Thanks for that lil' tip, do they deliver or do you have to collect it? Also unlike the grille i assume they come unpainted, if so how much would you recommend paying for someone to paint and fit it? any recommendations on where to get the chrome tip? thanks! They will prob deliver but i'd rather collect if i can! Then you know it wont get damaged in transit! Grilles come painted depending on the colour of your car! Tom.

YEP DID IT!! :D Took me about 5 hours in total! i forgot to bring my camera so was really good that Steve ^^ took some pics befroe during and after! Hi Guys, Even though my dad wants me to get my S/C fitted at a garage i think im just gonna bring it along to JAE! Just wondering who might be able to give me a hand fitting it? I'll bring along a couple of crates of beer to help with the process ;) anyone is more than welcome get stuck in and also may be good for anyone looking to get a S/C themselves to see how its done! :D Not sure on where will be best to do it though, as i havent seen any of the camping arrangments?? Worth a try mate and if i remember right you have to seperate the steering from the lower joint to fit the manifold :) I did that job on Lee-iceman's lex when we fitted his S/C at my brothers house :) Just noticed were a bit maybe a good idea to start a new topic if you want to find out a bit more I was going to try that but didnt want to bugger something up and it started to rain! OK will do :) Tom.

Could well do! i'll just have to take the crap out the boot and just lump it all in there with a jack and some tools! And hope he doesnt notice! I tried to change the manifold to the De-Cat one this weekend but it wouldnt come out as the Cats were getting caught on the Steering colum bit! then started to rain so i had to leave it in! Well my Dad asked me today when i was finally going to get the Supercharger fitted to my car as its currently sitting in the kitchen! I said hopefully this weekend at JAE with the help of you guys! He wasnt happy, he has told me to have it booked in to a garage and fitted Professionally! I cant really argue with him as he did give me the money to buy it! Has really :tsktsk: me off tho! So does anyone know of a good (reasonably priced) place to get it done?? Cheers guys, Tom.
